Al parecer, el capital, el colonialismo, el patriarcado y las políticas neoliberales se combaten con adjetivos oxidados y tramas de madera. ¿Quién lo hubiera sospechado?

Se ha atribuido gran perfidia a Nerón por sus excesos y por haber ejecutado a su madre; los españoles tienen su leyenda negra, arrasaron, empalaron y decapitaron un continente, mala gente, muy mala; de Hitler, ni hablemos. Pero hay alguien, una persona, que ha pasado desapercibida y a la cual no se le ha hecho juicio por su vileza, me refiero a esa que inventó los talleres literarios. En Argentina prendió fuerte, después de todo, en este país, hay más escritores que personas. Uno ya no puede salir a la calle sin que se le acerque cualquiera a recitarle sus versos. Elaborados, elaboradísimos, ya que los han pulido en su taller semanal, gracias a las enseñanzas del maestro escritor y a los comentarios de sus colegas aprendices. El maestro escritor ha ganado el “IVDCCCXCIV Certamen Literario Municipal de la Biblioteca Popular de General Acha” e inmediatamente ha abierto las inscripciones a su taller de escritura creativa. Los aprendices han leído un poema de Washington Cucurto, interiorizado la palabra acróstico y procedido a su afiliación con sinónima presteza. La dinámica del grupo, debido a las exigencias de los tiempos, es horizontal, no hay desigualdad de poder, alumnos y maestro se cultivan a la par, aunque el que cobre, de estos bien llamados horizontales, sea uno solo.

Los asistentes a talleres literarios tienen una gran afición por los gatos, por París y por la nocturnidad, porque han visto Medianoche en París y el imaginario común ha penetrado hasta sus entrañas. El ojo de la noche, por supuesto, como si cantaran jirafas. Más allá de la búsqueda estética, del sacrificio y angustia del espíritu en la percepción del yo, del milagro filosófico que teje una palabra con otra, hay un concepto que alienta a estas personas en su proyecto, y es la resistencia. Al parecer, el capital, el colonialismo, el patriarcado y las políticas neoliberales se combaten con adjetivos oxidados y tramas de madera. ¿Quién lo hubiera sospechado?

Uno de los grandes secretos que comparten los cófrades para lanzar sus palabras a las estrellas es el de que hay que leer a sus contemporáneos, porque están vivos y el diálogo se produce de igual a igual, hay que dejar de lado a los clásicos, a Diego de San Pedro, a Dickens, a Musil, porque están muertos y su mutismo es literal, y como los escritores vivos entienden todo literalmente, se trata de un procedimiento avalado por la lógica. Otro misterio hermético que comparten es el de escribir una línea todos los días, y son tan prominentes y dedicados en esto que uno se pregunta por qué no se dedican mejor a la arquitectura, a la geometría o al diseño gráfico. Una confidencia menor que solo ellos conocen es la de que las comas y los puntos van donde ellos sientan que van.

Si hay algo que enseñan los talleres literarios, moda equiparable a la de la cerveza artesanal (y vaya si me ha tocado probar a mí, intrépida aventurada, cervezas ruines) es la solidaridad. A los talleristas todo texto les parece fantástico, sublime, jamás critican la obra de un par por temor a la reciprocidad de ser juzgados con una vara severa que los baje de su nube, y cuando, por equivocación, insinúan un análisis, se apresuran a adjetivarlo constructivo. Pero claro, qué van a criticar si no tienen con qué comparar, limitados a asomar los ojos al infinitamente múltiple e infinitamente homogéneo abanico literario de sus iguales. Buscando la originalidad suprema, forman manadas que los resguarden del sufrimiento y las miserias de lo uno.

Al finalizar el año, una ceremonia iniciática tiene lugar; financiados por sus propios recursos económicos y entusiasmados por el mágico acto de hacer lo invisible, visible, elaboran una antología con sus poemas y cuentos. Ahora pueden sentirse realizados, pueden leerse a ellos mismos en papel reciclado, fijado en la memoria de los hombres para el resto de la eternidad por un hilo que cose las hojas a una caja de cartón que alguna vez fue albergue de una pizza o una docena de empanadas. La misión ha tocado a su fin, uno, o mejor dicho cualquiera, se ha convertido, consagrado escritor. Resta inscribirse en el taller de la temporada entrante.
