Enzo Franco, el DJ de la cuarentena

El sábado por la noche, cerca de las 20 hs, vecinos que habitan en el centro santarroseño pudieron observar luces apuntando al cielo y algunas hasta en sus propios edificios. Minutos más tarde, escucharon el imponente opening de la Twenty Century Fox, seguido de electrónica chill. Las luces y la música, en plena cuarentena, provenían de la calle Lisandro de Latorre. Más precisamente del techo de la casa de Enzo Franco, dj de esta ciudad y responsable de la puesta que llevo a cabo el último sábado para cortar con el clima de pesadez que estamos viviendo desde hace semanas a causa de la pandemia.

“No sabía como iba a reaccionar la gente, soy consciente que a pocas cuadras tengo la Clínica Modelo, utilecé un volumen moderado y lo hice de 20 a 21 hs. En un momento cayó la policía, pensaron que había una fiesta. Es entendible, ven toda la montura y creen que estamos quebrando la cuarentena, pero sólo estoy con mi familia. Me advirtieron que no me exceda del horario, lo cual me parece bien”, dice Enzo, y agrega con satisfacción: “Por suerte a la gente le gustó, se asomaron desde las puertas de sus casas y disfrutaron.”

Enzo ya había armado en su techo una puesta similar la semana anterior que auspició de prueba piloto. “La primera vez monté algo más sencillo, quería ver que repercusión tenía. Me contacté con Cristian, de la cervecería Malcriada y le propuse hacer un Directo de Instagram para tener más llegada, y funcionó. Por eso ahora decidí armar algo mejor. Puse más cabezas móviles y hasta una bola de espejo”, explica, y adelanta: “El sábado próximo voy a armar algo mejor. Estoy en una zona privilegiada, rodeado de edificios que no obstaculizan mi casa, tengo todo para hacerlo y la buena respuesta de la gente”, puntualiza.

Enzo no sólo es dj, además brinda servicios montando escenarios, alquilando luces y equipos de audio, lo que le permite realizar un live por streaming más producido. “Lo hago porque tengo la posibilidad, laburo de esto. De otra manera haría un live desde adentro de mi casa, como hacen muchos colegas y amigos”, expresa. “Comienzo con electrónica para warmupear para luego tocar algunos reguetones latinos e ir subiendo hasta lograr un clima y continuar con hip hop para después seguir con cuarteto y cumbia. A las nueve de la noche finalizo con el Himno Nacional.”

Las transmisones vía streaming de artistas y deejays se han incrementado de manera sustancial en este periodo de cuarentena global que estamos atravesando, muchos artistas encuentras una manera de difundir sus contenidos en pleno aislamiento (click). “Vi que en Italia y en España lo venían haciendo. Ellos llevan mas tiempo de aislamiento que nosotros, es una cuarentena más estricta. Djs tocan desde sus balcones y terrazas para sobrellevar el impedimento de poder tocar en eventos, no está mal que quienes podamos hacerlo llevemos adelante estos sets”, dice Enzo.

Discotecas, bares, pubs y demás lugares que están ligados a la noche se ven afectados, al igual que muchos otros rubros, por este contexto inédito que contiene una crisis ecnómica pocas veces vista. Enzo trabaja desde hace casi 10 años tocando y montando la parte técnica en fiestas, lo cual esta situación también lo golpéa. “Todo esto me afecto bastante. Tenia eventos programados hasta junio. Para nuestro ambiente esto esta resultando complicadísimo, va a resultar muy difícil volver a cierta normalidad. Sinceramente no creo que en esta activadad se pueda volver a trabajar hasta octubre, o noviembre. Y hay que ver de que manera, mucha gente va a querer salir pero otra no. Va a ser muy duro”, confiesa.

Por lo pronto, los lives por plataformas digitales son una opción para que deejays transmitan beats que ayuden a descomprimir la tensión que estamos acumulando. Los vecinos de Enzo dan fe de eso.
