Pero después pensé en que es preferible vacunarse y no estar en el estado que se encuentran los pacientes”, dice Ludmila (22), ayudante de enfermería en el Centro Emergente de Asistencia Respiratoria (CEAR), sobre la llegada de las primeras 300.000 mil dosis de Sputnik V enviadas desde Rusia y que se distribuyeron entre los trabajadores de la primera línea de batalla del país.
Ludmila había sido convocada de urgencia – por falta de personal- cuando todavía no existían los picos de contagios en la provincia de La Pampa. Dice que se acostumbró rápido al ritmo de trabajo del centro emergente donde hubo días que parecía que “todo se iba a la mierda“. Ludmila recibirá la segunda dosis de Sputnik el próximo 27 de enero.

Algunos se incorporaron a la salud pública de urgencia, otros experimentaron los primeros pasos en su profesión observando entrar y salir pacientes en estado crítico a diario; los trabajadores de la Salud de La Pampa se sienten “cansados” después de una pandemia mundial que parecía que nunca iba a alcanzar a La Pampa. Tanto para Ludmila, como para Mauro (27) y Gastón (50), también se respiran aires de “esperanza”, de que algún día todo vuelva a ser como antes. Por otro lado, parecen reconocer que se trata de una expresión más de deseo que lo que realmente viven a diario en el CEAR. Sin embargo, reconocen el trabajo en equipo, quizás, uno de los valores positivos que supo llevar a la superficie la pandemia.
“Me di cuenta de la importancia de la suma de voluntades dentro de la salud pública. Noto que todos nos apoyamos mutuamente. También noto cansancio entre todos los que trabajamos en la terapia. Estar continuamente con pacientes críticos se sufre, y no estábamos acostumbrados, ahora ya lo naturalizamos”, confiesa Mauro, mientras atiende a Revista BIFE desde su guardia de sábado, quien no dudó en la aplicarse la vacuna y además resaltó la importancia de la ciencia y tecnología para enfrentar este tipo de circunstancias. “Nunca dude en ponerme la vacuna, porque confío en la ciencia y la tecnología. Eso genera esperanzas en la sociedad”.

“Lo que rescato de la pandemia es la solidaridad. Todos nos pusimos del mismo lado. Nos cansamos nos estresamos, pero siempre miramos lo que hace el compañero y le metemos para adelante. Eso me parece lo positivo, después lo negativo está a la vista”, agrega Gastón, kinesiólogo de estado crítico del CEAR, quién ya recibió la segunda dosis de Sputnik V sin dudarlo.
