“Tienen un enfoque neoliberal y neoconservador”: la grave acusación de Utelpa a diputados peronistas y radicales por la ley de Educación Emocional

Se presentaron en el Legislatura dos proyectos de ley sobre Educación Emocional. El primero fue creado por la diputada Valderrama de la UCR, y el segundo por Luján, Rojas, Mayoral y Zanoli, del Frejupa. Si bien aún no comenzaron a debatirse en las comisiones, el gremio que aglutina a los docentes de La Pampa –Utelpa- se hizo escuchar y planteó severas críticas a lo que desde el sindicato aseguran que es una iniciativa que“avanza de la mano de la derecha”.

En la nota dirigida al presidente de la Cámara, Utelpa manifiesta “gran preocupación” por este proyecto que habilitaría la inclusión de “lógicas propias de los manuales de autoayuda” con una idea de que “la felicidad o el bienestar son resultado de la propia voluntad y no dependen de los condicionamientos sociales, históricos, políticos”, de modo que “se refuerza una concepción despolitizada de los sujetos y se sostiene que uno mismo puede ser artífice de su vida”.

¿Qué dicen los proyectos?

La iniciativa de Valderrama es tomada del psicólogo Lucas J. J. Malaisi, presidente de Fundación Educación Emocional Argentina. En primer lugar, proponen que la Educación Emocional sea obligatoria en el sistema educativo, con el objeto de “capacitar a los alumnos para la vida y aumentar el bienestar personal”.

Priorizan las salidas individuales en los problemas sociales y la meritocracia como manera de superación”

Entonces, a través de diferentes prácticas, se plantea desarrollar la conciencia emocional (reconocer emociones propias y de los demás), autodominio emocional (responder adecuadamente a las emociones), automotivación (ponerse objetivos e ilusionarse con ellos), empatía (ser consciente de los sentimientos de los demás), habilidades sociales (transformar los sentimientos de los demás), y trabajar en equipo.

Con esto, pretenden que los niños puedan “mejorar la capacidad de desenvolverse en la vida social y profesional”, que puedan “forjar su propia voluntad y carácter” y que logren “colaborar en crear climas positivos que eviten conflictos”.

Se clasifican las emociones en positivas y negativas, dejando afueras las que ‘nos molestan’, o bien, anulando las causas ‘políticamente incorrectas’”

Por su parte, el proyecto del Frejupa, si bien tiene las mismas bases, se centran sobre todo en el concepto de empatía. “Cuando los niños vienen al mundo, llegan sintiendo las emociones de los demás, son particularmente empáticos. Para que esta empatía no concluya, es necesario potenciarla desde que son pequeños y trabajar en ella durante todo su crecimiento”, afirman.

¿Qué critica Utelpa?

El gremio de los docentes analiza que estas iniciativas tienen un enfoque “neoliberal en lo económico” y “neoconservador en lo político y pedagógico”, porque se “priorizan las salidas individuales en los problemas sociales, la meritocracia como manera de superación y la competencia como regla general en un contexto en el que la educación es vista como una mercancía más”.

Los docentes avisan que con la vigente ley de Educación Sexual Integral (ESI) se da espacio a las emociones, “en lugar de regular y controlarlas” como opinan que sucedería si finalmente se sanciona la ley de Educación Emocional. De modo que, con la ESI, “no se trata de una propuesta para consumir y volvernos más productivos, ni tampoco de obligar a participar y a expresar sus sentimientos a quienes no quieren o no pueden”. Y sobre el concepto de empatía advierten que tampoco se trata de “abrazar por mandato a quienes están tristes”.

Se refuerza una concepción despolitizada de los sujetos y se sostiene que uno mismo puede ser artífice de su vida”

En este sentido, advierten que con la Educación Emocional se “clasifican las emociones en positivas y negativas, dejando afueras las que ‘nos molestan’, o bien, anulando las causas ‘políticamente incorrectas’”.

Para finalizar, vinculan esta “tendencia mundial” en Argentina con la influencia de Cambiemos en el escenario político. “Con la llegada de Macri al poder se vienen realizando acciones que tienen como objetivo la incorporación de la ‘Educación Emocional’”, denuncian, y advierten que con esta idea “se manipulan las emociones con fines exitistas, a favor del perfil emprendedor, en donde se dejan en manos del mercado las subjetividades”, por medio de las “Fundaciones, ONGs y Universidades privadas”.
