A su vez, reconoció las culpas de “un sector y del otro”, y opinó que al radicalismo le “hace falta que se modernice, que empiece a aportar nuevas ideas”.
Por otro parte, destacó al gobierno provincial al decir que “por ahora las respuestas han sido buenas, yo creo que tienen un buen ministro de Salud”.
-¿Qué análisis hace del manejo de la pandemia del gobierno nacional?
Creo que inicialmente se manejó bien, que era lo que tenía que hacerse, preparar la cuestión sanitaria. Después ha habido muchas marchas y contramarchas de lo que hay que hacer y por ahí no han sido claros. Si bien nadie buscó esta situación universal, creo que lógicamente hay cosas que se han acertado y cosas que no.
-¿Cómo qué?
Lo que hicieron bien desde el primer momento yo creo que fue preparar los equipos sanitarios de salud, tanto a nivel nacional como provincial. En algunas provincias ingresaron antes que nosotros. Respecto de lo económico le han errado. Tanto en el mensaje como en la actitud, mandando a todo el sector privado en su momento a estar cerrado, no pudiendo tener ingresos, con la obligación de pagar sueldos, de pagar impuestos, y no hubo un gesto de la clase política de decir “también hago un esfuerzo, también nos arremangamos y nos rebajamos los sueldos”, por lo menos de los funcionarios, que son sueldos grandes. No acompañaron y a lo mejor la gente espera esos gestos. Es fácil pedirle el esfuerzo a todos mientras vos seguís teniendo el mismo ingreso.
-Hay un sector de la oposición que desde el inicio de la cuarentena convocó a manifestaciones, que pregona la libertad individual por sobre las recomendaciones de prevención del gobierno, ¿qué opina usted?
Ahí vamos a otras de las contradicciones. Cuando vos ves que uno se cuida y sin embargo ve a nuestros representantes sin ningún tapa boca, abrazándose. Eso genera malestar, porque cuidar nos tenemos que cuidar todo. Los derechos son lo mismo para todos.
-¿Cómo cree que va a terminar esto? ¿Hacia dónde nos dirigimos?
Veo mucho malestar. Por el encierro, por la falta de libertades, de no saber cuándo se va a encontrar la famosa vacuna y tener una vida normal como la teníamos antes. Creo que hay un malestar generalizado con la política. Con la falta de libertades. Quizá nosotros no lo sufrimos en nuestra provincia, pero uno ve en otras provincias que sí, donde se dan las movilizaciones. Creo que eso es por falta de mensajes claros. No hay duda que nos tenemos que cuidar todos, que la pandemia es por la salud.
-¿A qué se refiere con los mensajes claros?
Cuando vos decís que hay que ajustar y quienes pueden y reciben sueldos de los que pagamos los impuestos, no lo hacen. O por el tema de los tapa bocas.
Respecto de lo económico le han errado. Tanto en el mensaje como en la actitud, mandando a todo el sector privado en su momento a estar cerrado”
-¿Usted creo que la gente no cree en la política?
Así como hay períodos de que la gente se acerca, ahora está tomando distancia. Y hay un enojo generalizado.
-¿De quién es la culpa?
No creo que sea del peronismo. La pandemia no es culpa del peronismo. Ni de los últimos 70 años, porque has tenido momentos como los de Alfonsín en que la gente se ha acercado a la política. Luego en los 90 hubo un distanciamiento, producto de las políticas de Menem. Luego hubo un acercamiento de los jóvenes con la llegada de Kirchner. Con Cristina el primer periodo, como con Alfonsín. Después los errores políticos llevan a que la gente se aleje.
-¿Y con Macri?
Luego de la última gestión de Cristina empieza a haber un distanciamiento, y Macri no es un líder carismático. Representaron dos modelos antagónicos. Eso que inició hace 8 años continua profundizándose. No están viendo la solución de nada, ni de un sector ni del otro. Nuestro país se caracterizó por la movilidad social y ahora tenemos un 50% de la pobreza. Decir que hoy se están dando respuestas es faltar a la verdad.
-¿El radicalismo qué lugar ocupará en todo esto?
El radicalismo tiene banderas que no las perdió nunca, que son la de una dirigencia honesta, que cree en la defensa de los derechos humanos. Con eso solo no alcanza lógicamente. Hace falta que nuestro partido se modernice. Que empiece a aportar nuevas ideas.
No están viendo la solución de nada, ni de un sector ni del otro”
-Tras la alianza con el PRO, ¿se fortaleció o se debilitó el radicalismo?
Habría que ver la realidad de cada provincia. Hoy viendo la nuestra, no sumó ni restó. A nivel nacional quizá se ganó. Está en discusión ser una alternancia al peronismo. El peronismo es un partido muy fuerte en todo sentido, y muchas veces las divisiones hace que estemos muy atomizados. Hay que empezar a ver la posibilidad de construir a lo mejor distinto.
-¿Cómo ve la gestión del gobierno provincial?
La verdad que le tocó al gobernador algo bastante feo para iniciar la gestión. Debe ser terrible porque ha tenido que cambiar todos los objetivos en tener los recursos para la salud. Las respuestas hasta ahora han sido buenas. Yo creo que tienen un buen ministro de Salud. Los manejos económicos los desconozco. Si creo que esto de haber parado la pelota y haber preparado los equipos está muy bien. Sé el compromiso que tienen. Esperemos que se logre pasar la pandemia de esta manera.
-Dentro de la oposición, ¿qué candidatos aparecen para el año que viene?
Con lo que estamos viviendo es descabellado hablar de candidaturas. Cuando no se sabe cuál va a ser el cronograma electoral. Todos queremos tener respuestas, y cumplir con nuestras obligaciones. Como militante político es una falta de respeto hablar de candidaturas. Es muy apresurado.
-¿Qué dirigente lo representa?
A mí me gusta mucho Ramón Mestre, que tuvo una derrota. Veo una figura en Martín Lousteau. Muchas veces uno no tiene que esperar el mesías, el granito de arena lo tenemos que poner todos.
