Adriana Romero, secretaria de Turismo: “Los pampeanos tenemos la posibilidad de descubrir nuestra provincia”

Si bien se habilitó el turismo interno, los nuevos casos de Covid obligaron a que se sigan tomando las precauciones necesarias y a no promover que la gente viaje por la provincia. Por ahora la situación general es de incertidumbre. No obstante, se está analizando desde esta área que La Pampa puede verse favorecida –en lo que es el turismo interno- en un escenario pos-pandemia.  

Una de las opciones para promover que los propios pampeanos conozcan su provincia es a través del oeste pampeano, que por ahora es un producto “potencial”. Es concurrido exclusivamente por el turismo interno, ya que despierta curiosidad entre los habitantes, porque envuelve la mística del supuesto origen del “ser pampeano” con sus cielos y sus extensiones tan narrados por los poetas locales; aunque todavía lo consideran un “recurso” en el sentido de que no están desarrollados los medios necesarios para que se pueda recorrer con comodidad total.

Hay diferentes tipos de turismo en la provincia, entre los que se encuentran el turismo rural, de naturaleza, de aves, de vinos, fiestas populares, artesanías, turismo termal, la huella del petróleo en 25 de Mayo, un turismo cultural vinculado con los pueblos originarios, gastronómico y el legado de Favarola en Jacinto Arauz, entre otros.

Por otra parte, se está discutiendo en la Legislatura un Observatorio de Turismo, para obtener una base empírica y poder ver las tendencias con el fin de implementar políticas mejor direccionadas y potenciar cada región.

-Se habilitó el turismo interno en La Pampa, pero volvieron a aparecer casos, ¿cuál es la situación particularmente en su área?

Estamos aguantando la evolución sanitaria. No estamos saliendo a invitar y a promover que la gente se viaje. Estamos actuando de acuerdo a las instrucciones del gobernador, que tiene un panorama completo.

-¿Puede ayudar la pandemia al turismo interno, a que los pampeanos conozcan la provincia?

La pandemia la veo como una tragedia a nivel global. Nosotros pensando en el turismo interno vamos a ir viendo la conveniencia o no. Sí cuando pensamos en un turismo de pos pandemia creemos que La Pampa va a tener sus ventajas, con sus grandes extensiones, sus turismos de termas, sus turismos del vino, el mercado artesanal, el patrimonio cultural. Pero ahora no es el mejor momento para salir. Al contrario, nos sumamos a la responsabilidad social y puesta en marcha de los protocolos. El cumplimiento justamente está salvando vidas.

-Desde que se habilitó el turismo interno, ¿han recibido consultas, la gente está programando sus viajes al interior de la provincia?

Consultas siempre hay, preguntando si se puede viajar a tal o cual lugar. Hay gente que llama pidiendo que recomienden lugares, pero vamos respondiendo según la circunstancia. Ahora por ejemplo el Parque Luro está suspendido.

-Para que sea una provincia turística tiene que ser primero conocido por la gente que la habita, y por ahora el pampeano no tiene mucho conocimiento de su propia provincia. ¿Usted percibe eso?

No se puede generalizar y decir que no conoce. Hay distintos segmentos de la demanda. Hay grupos que sí se conocen bastante, que han recorrido mucho dentro de La Pampa, y hay algunos que priorizan el viaje a otras provincias. Eso sucede en todos los lugares, porque donde uno vive siempre está disponible, entonces se viaja afuera. Los pampeanos tenemos la posibilidad de descubrir nuestra provincia.

-¿Qué tipo de turismo están planteando para la provincia?

El plan de gestión de turismo, que planeamos diversos ejes, tiene uno que es la sustentabilidad, es decir, un turismo responsable, con mucho cuidado por el patrimonio. La otra pata es la calidad, o sea, avanzar hacia un producto que tenga un buen estándar, que esté bien atendido, y que luego produzca un efecto de boca a boca. También pusimos el énfasis en mejorar la infraestructura.  Otro aspecto importante es la comunicación. La Pampa aspira a ser una provincia turística en el país, y todavía tiene mucho para desarrollar. Ese desarrollo necesita de una mejor comunicación. Tendríamos que pensar en una campaña nacional, que ahora quedó relegado por la pandemia, naturalmente.

-¿Qué lugares deben ser explotados que no se conozcan mucho, y cuáles son potencialmente turísticos?

Cuando hablamos de potencialmente turísticos tenemos que aclarar. En ese sentido, si es difícil llegar y no están dadas las condiciones, nosotros lo consideramos potencial, porque todavía no conforma un producto. Un ejemplo puede ser todo el oeste pampeano, que se ha promovido y que a todos nos da mucha curiosidad. El oeste pampeano lo consideramos un recurso. El recurso es que todavía no lo hemos podido aprovechar del todo. Otro ejemplo de turismo potencial, que ya está en ejecución, es el de turismo del vino.

-¿Cuáles son los tipos de turismo que tiene La Pampa?

Es un turismo auto-gestionado porque hay pocos comercializadores de nuestros turismo. Acá hay tres gerencias por lo menos de turismo. Entonces es auto-gestionado porque la gente que llega, lo hace atraída por las campañas de redes sociales, o gente que sigue determinados temas como las áreas protegidas. También tenemos las modalidades de turismo, por ejemplo, rural, de naturaleza, de aves, de vinos, fiestas populares, artesanías, turismo termal, en 25 de Mayo estábamos trabajando en la huella del petróleo. Un turismo cultural, porque está el legado de los pueblos originarios, y en lo gastronómico, porque uno de los mejores asados son pampeanos. El legado de Favaloro en Jacinto Arauz, entre otros.

-¿Cuáles son los productos que aspiran a que se impongan?

Lo gastronómico es muy importante porque diversifica la oferta, ya que es un producto aumentado. Por ejemplo, el turista llega y viene por la ruralidad y lo sorprente la gastronomía, y eso le agrega valor al producto, porque hace que el turista se vaya con un excelente recuerdo, que es lo que dejamos como marca en la mente del consumidor, y como marca dejamos que en La Pampa hayaseguridad, mucho tiempo y lugares con mucho espacio, cielos infinitos, y todo eso con el recuerdo de una buena mesa.

-Se está discutiendo en la Legislatura un Observatorio de Turismo, ¿qué te parece el proyecto?

La idea es tener los datos, una base empírica para ver las tendencias. Por ejemplo con la oferta gastronómica, que no es de nuestro control; y queremos trazar un mapa de los productos de la gastronomía pampeana, eso es una de las tareas que tiene el Observatorio, para potenciar cada región.

Por ahora tenemos datos de las temporadas, no estamos midiendo a lo largo del año

-¿Mayormente a dónde prefiere ir el turista?

Se vuelcan a conocer Santa Rosa, Parque Luro, estancias, Llihuel Calel les gusta, pero hay dificultades con la ruta, y ahora el eje del Río Colorado, y también el oeste pampeano, pero eso es un destino que ha sido ponderado por los pampeanos.
