La ministra de Salud, Carla Vizzotti, y la asesora presidencial Cecilia Nicolini gestionan la posibilidad de acelerar un cronograma de entrega del componente 2 de la vacuna Sputnik V y completar así los esquemas de inmunización, en tanto que el jueves llegará al país un nuevo cargamento de medio millón del componente 1 del mismo fármaco en un vuelo de Aerolíneas Argentinas.
Vizzotti y Nicolini mantuvieron una videoconferencia con autoridades del Fondo Ruso de Inversión Directa (RDIF) para realizar un seguimiento de las negociaciones y el monitoreo de las entregas de vacunas Sputnik V.
Según informaron fuentes oficiales, las funcionarias analizaron diferentes ejes del avance de la vacunación en la Argentina, el perfil de seguridad, la llegada sostenida de dosis del componente 1 y la importancia de fijar el cronograma de entrega que contemple la llegada del componente 2 para completar la inoculación a la población.
Durante la reunión, Vizzotti les transmitió a los representantes del Fondo de Inversión la “gran importancia que tiene en la Campaña de Vacunación Nacional la prioridad que la Federación Rusa le dio a la Argentina a través del envío de dosis en forma sostenida desde el 24 de diciembre del año pasado”, según un comunicado de la cartera de Salud.
Asimismo, la ministra enfatizó la “necesidad de sostener este logro y planificar a partir de las próximas semanas un cronograma de entrega que contemple la llegada del componente 2 de la vacuna para completar los esquemas de vacunación ya iniciados”.
En ese sentido, Vizzotti compartió su “satisfacción” por el registro de la vacuna Sputnik V light en la Federación Rusa, ya que será una herramienta más en la lucha contra la pandemia.
Sin embargo, en la reunión dejó en claro que la Argentina sostiene la estrategia de avanzar con el esquema convencional de vacunación con ambos componentes de la Sputnik V.
“Todas las personas completarán su esquema de vacunación. Queremos llevar tranquilidad a la gente de que todos los que recibieron la primera dosis van a recibir la segunda”, aseguró Vizzotti.
