Trabajadoras sociales de postas sanitarias de algunos de los barrios de la capital pampeana confirmaron a Revista BIFE que empiezan a haber casos de personas que concurren a los centros con muy bajo peso o, incluso, con desnutrición, pese a que, muchos de ellos, reciben ayuda y refuerzo alimentario por parte del Estado.

En este sentido, BIFE se comunicó con el secretario de Desarrollo Social de la municipalidad de Santa Rosa, Marcos Echeveste, quien aseguró que “cuando se detecta algún tipo de problema de bajo peso intervenimos directamente. Tratamos de acompañar cualquier situación de salud particular. Desde el Estado tenemos un acompañamiento de personas que son celíacas, o patologías que se articula con Salud. Cuando hay alguna situación de bajo peso tenemos intervención”, dijo.

“Con el área de salud se viene trabajando muy bien. En cuando a la cuestión alimentaria, donde el Estado estuvo permanentemente poniendo el foco, si bien esto fue prioritario durante la primera cuarentena, al irse abriendo la actividad económica muchas familias se han retirado de esa ayuda, y ha permitido poner el foco en lugares donde se requiere más, por ejemplo en el área de género y de niñez”, reveló.

–¿Cómo está la situación desde la última vez que hablamos, hace un año, cuando confirmaste que 4 mil nuevas familias se habían incorporado a la órbita de Desarrollo Social del municipio?

De aquel momento al actual hay una diferencia sustancial, porque en ese momento el Estado se tuvo que hacer cargo de familias que por primera vez recurrían al Estado, por ejemplo a través de la IFE o de la ayuda alimentaria. Hoy, como hay otras fases de la cuarentena, disminuyó la demanda aunque sigue siendo importante.

Asimismo, el funcionario contó que se sigue manteniendo la misma cantidad de personas que concurren a los comedores, que son 3500 individuos, es decir, alrededor de 1500 núcleos familiares. “Hoy seguimos manteniendo alrededor de 3500 personas que están concurriendo a comedores, que son 1500 núcleos familias. Y seguimos asistiendo con el refuerzo alimentario”, dijo.
