Imputaron a dos jugadores de Vélez por abuso sexual y los separaron del plantel

Los futbolistas de Vélez Sarsfield Miguel Brizuela y Thiago Almada fueron imputados por el delito de abuso sexual por un hecho ocurrido a fines de 2020 en una fiesta clandestina. A raíz de la decisión de los fiscales, el club de Liniers activó el protocolo de violencia de género y separó a los dos jugadores del plantel que dirige Mauricio Pellegrino.. 

La institución de Liniers tomó la decisión de separar a ambos futbolistas debido a la notificación formal de la Unidad Funcional de Instrucción, especializada en Violencia de Género del Departamento Judicial de San Isidro. Tanto Thiago Almada, Ricardo Centurión y Miguel Brizuela fueron parte de una fiesta clandestina en la casa de un country que alquilaba, hasta ese momento, el ex delantero de Defensa y Justicia Martín Lucero. Tras esa noche, una mujer que estuvo en esa casa denunció que fue abusada sexualmente. 

Tras el hecho, ocurrido a principios de diciembre, la víctima no había podido prestar declaración. En la primera declaración de una testigo ya se había hablado de una actitud comprometedora de varios futbolistas presentes.  En aquel momento, la fiscal Laura Zyseskind solo imputó a otro de los presentes, Juan José Acuña Delbene -un ex entrenador de Argentino de Quilmes y Defensa y Justicia- quien desde ese momento está prófugo. Ahora, luego de la declaración de la víctima la Justicia tomó la decisión de imputar a Thiago Almada y Miguel Brizuela.
