La secretaria de Turismo colocó diez carteles en sitios de importancia histórica tales como el conventillo, la estación de ferrocarril, la plaza, la Escuela N° 80, y el Almacén de Ramos Generales. También se colocó un cartel en el Cerro de la Virgen y un plano del sitio. Los colocados en Naicó son los primeros de una serie de intervenciones que facilitarán el acceso a varios sitios turísticos.
El objetivo de esta acción es poner en valor a Naicó para constituirlo en un atractivo turístico relevante del corredor central de La Pampa, dado que no son pocos los turistas que se llegan hasta la localidad, atraídos por su historia y por los vestigios que el lugar conserva de tiempos pasados.
Historia
Sus buenas aguas y sus pasturas de invierno, hicieron de Naicó una zona de tolderías, más tarde, durante la “Conquista de Desierto”, cobró importancia estratégico militar. Para 1880 era territorio conquistado y poco después comenzaron a mensurarse las tierras.
Naicó llegó a tener 600 habitantes, comisaría, Juzgado de Paz, hotel y una Comisión de Fomento. Cuando cesó el servicio del ferrocarril, se inició un éxodo masivo, y en las últimas décadas fue conocido como “pueblo fantasma” de La Pampa.
Hoy la situación tiende a revertirse, valorizando a la localidad y dándole nuevas perspectivas turísticas.
