“Me metí en la militancia con la esperanza de transformar la realidad y no quedarme criticando”, dice el concejal del Frejupa Mariano Rodríguez Vega, a casi un año de haber dejado el periodismo en La Arena “Sociedad Anónima”. Ahora ya no es más quien hace las preguntas y sabe que un paso en falso, una declaración poco feliz o una simple y cruel sacada de contexto puede hacer tambalear el breve castillo de naipes que hace 10 meses, desde que asumió en el Concejo Deliberante de Santa Rosa, viene construyendo, sobre todo, con una iniciativa puntualmente festejada: la creación de un registro de usuarios de cannabis medicinal. Entonces Rodríguez Vega, que inició a militar en 2010 en La Cámpora, no arriesga, cuida las palabras y dice que kirchnerismo y macrismo no son dos caras de una misma moneda porque el primero “avanzó sobre los derechos de la geste” mientras que el segundo es “un proyecto unitario y neoliberal”. También, asegura que la peor gestión de la historia de la ciudad fue la de Altolaguirre (“dejó una Santa Rosa complicada desde el lugar que encuentres”) y la mejor, según le contaba su padre -el histórico militante peronista “Poti” Rodríguez-, fue la de Eduardo Felix Molteni, a quien comparó con el actual intendente por su “cercanía con el vecino”.
