Un domingo más en Santa Rosa

Con la habitual melancolía del domingo pampeano, Parra sale a caminar y viaja en el tiempo por tres ciudades distintas, con los lugares que ya no están y los que inician su proceso descendente.

Un chico de ocho años más o menos, estatura normal, aparentemente flaco, atolondrado, como cualquiera de su edad, se encuentra jugando con una pelota naranja, de granos gastados, dentro de un club llamado Estudiantes.

Está en la parte trasera, frente a la calle Garibaldi, y dentro del club, en ese sector, el piso es de tierra, hay parrillas viejas, más adelante una cancha de voley, luego una pileta con trampolín.

De un momento a otro el chico se va, y en poco tiempo llega a la heladería Mónaco, en la esquina de San Martín y Moreno. Está haciendo fila, tiene su pelota naranja y a su lado está la perra de su abuela, Rayén. Pide una bocha de dulce de leche –el mejor de la ciudad– en dos cucuruchos distintos, y paga con una moneda de cincuenta centavos.

Antes de salir del local, presiona el botón de una canilla y se queda mirando el agua que sale para arriba y baja como un manantial. Rayén lo está esperando, por lo que le entrega un helado, y en el momento en que se está llevando el suyo a la boca, el chico es depositado en la cabeza del adolescente que luego será, que se encuentra parado, recordando, observando esa esquina desde la Avenida principal, frente al kiosco de Vaquer.

Empieza a caminar. Son las dos y media de la tarde. El cálido sol de invierno produce una sensación agradable en el ambiente; abre las manos y levanta apenas la cabeza. Cuando llega a la calle Rivadavia, frena en una estación de servicio; es “La Copec”.

De un momento a otro el chico se va, y en poco tiempo llega a la heladería Mónaco, en la esquina de San Martín y Moreno”

Tiene un poco de resaca, porque ayer fue a Pavarotti y tomó “Séptimo Regimiento”, o algo así. Es la euforia por salir, que todavía se conserva, unos meses después de la destitución del último intendente, Juan Carlos Tierno. Entra a “La Copec”. Pide una Paso de los Toros de pomelo, luego un sanguche de jamón y queso y se va.

Camina por avenida San Martín, llega a la esquina de la calle Gil. Hay personas entusiasmadas que toman cerveza, mientras miran el clásico de los domingos en Pampa Bar. Algunos, los que se quedaron sin lugar, o no llegaron a juntar las piadosas monedas para pagar el más barato café, estiran sus cogotes por la vidriera y observan el partido.

En la Plaza San Martín hay muchos árboles y en cada uno de ellos pájaros negros y pequeños. Son tordos. Están histéricos e inquietos volando de un tronco a otro. Se observa una gran maraña oscura en el cielo, dispersa y sin forma.

El adolescente se queda mirando un tordo, que hasta el momento no abandonó su rama. De repente, vuela y se posa en la Catedral, sobre un hexágono, que parece un ojo inquisidor acostado.

Son tordos. Están histéricos e inquietos volando de un tronco a otro”

Sigue por la calle Roca y atraviesa la escuela Normal, donde mañana tendrá que asistir; no sabe que en un año la deberá abandonar. Llega a la Laguna Don Tomás, camina bordeando la orilla, cerca del agua clara: en la superficie se forma una leve corriente que acompaña su andar.

Se traslada a una isla por un puente bajo el cual hay peces bigotudos. Se sienta en el piso, delante de un bar y detrás una isla prolija y pequeña, repleta de patos negros. La mira.

De su mochila saca el sanguche, le pone mayonesa para comerlo hasta la mitad. Saca la gaseosa, desenrosca la tapa, y cuando hace ruido por el gas, el agua de la Laguna deja de ser clara, se torna color verde oliva, y el adolescente se transporta al cerebro del joven con barba que observa a unos metros de distancia. Camina y se sienta en el mismo lugar que hace 10 años atrás, pero ahora delante de un nuevo bar, y detrás de una isla solitaria.

No hace nada, está sentado. Espera que pase el tiempo. Saca su celular Samsung todo roto para mirar la hora, y son las 15 y 50. Entra a trabajar a las 16 en revistabife.com, le quedan diez minutos, está en el medio de la Laguna y llega tarde.

Tampoco es que se desespera tanto: aún no se ha levantado. Recuerda un libro que leyó de Paul Lafargue, titulado “El derecho a la pereza“. Lo reivindica con el pecho inflado. Recuerda aquella edición en cuya tapa figuraban dos pies entrecruzados, y anhela ser uno de ellos, como un verdadero profesional del ocio. Maldice al maldito domingo laboral, y recién entonces, de una vez por todas, se levanta.

Da vuelta toda la Laguna hasta salir por la Avenida España. A su derecha, la Ciudad de la Justicia. Hay un amontonamiento de autos en el cruce roto de Perón y España, gente con barbijo; pese a ser domingo, se tocan bocina.

Está llegando tarde a fichar. Le gustaría ir más rápido, pero respeta tanto el tiempo que no lo quiere acelerar. Está a unas pocas cuadras, sus piernas igualmente le pesan, y todavía falta el resto de la jornada laboral.

Después de una eternidad, llega al barrio Atuel. Camina 60 metros por la calle Corona Martínez, y se encuentra con una puerta. Decide entrar. Entra a la redacción de revistabife.com pensando qué publicar, y dejando atrás el trayecto donde habían transitado, simultáneamente, las tres mismas personas, pero en tres ciudades diferentes.
