En los últimos días surgieron versiones que indican que funcionarios del gabinete económico del Gobierno están estudiando alternativas para incentivar la liquidación de soja por parte de los productores agropecuarios de cara al cuarto trimestre del año.
Una de las posibilidades que se evalúan por estas horas sería restablecer los diferenciales arancelarios al complejo sojero para que el aceite y la harina -productos con alto valor agregado- paguen menos derechos de exportación que el poroto.
El complejo sojero abona actualmente un 33% de retenciones a las exportaciones. Esto implica que el denominado “dólar soja” se encuentra en torno a los 53 pesos, casi un tercio respecto a la cotización del tipo de cambio paralelo que se vende a 141 pesos.
Por este motivo, al parecer, otra de las propuestas que está en análisis sería fijar un tipo de cambio diferencial para la soja por un determinado periodo de tiempo de manera tal de incentivar a los productores a vender en lo que resta de este año.
Estimaciones indican que a la fecha los productores conservan cerca de 18,4 millones de toneladas de soja en silobolsas. Sobre una cosecha 2019/20 de casi 50 millones de toneladas, se trata, entonces, de un 37% de la producción total.
Este martes el precio de la soja en el Mercado de Chicago cerró a 380 dólares por tonelada. Es decir, el valor de la producción de soja que se encuentran en los campos y aún no ingresó al circuito comercial se ubica cerca de los 7.400 millones de dólares.
Durante el primer semestre de 2020, según datos del INDEC, las exportaciones del complejo sojero generaron unos 7.760 millones de dólares a pesar del Covid-19. Solo en concepto de retenciones los productores pagaron 2.560 millones de dólares.
