El último jueves desde el Ministerio del Interior anunciaron que Nación convocará a una reunión del COIRCO, para analizar una petición respecto del impacto ambiental de la obra. Luego de la visita de Alberto Fernández a La Pampa, en donde expresó que “no está bueno financiar una obra que está cuestionada por cuatro de cinco provincias”, desde Mendoza encendieron las alarmas.
Fue Víctor Ibañez, ministro de Gobierno de Mendoza, quien salió al cruce y dijo “no hay cuatro provincias en contra de Portezuelo del Viento” y que solamente el reclamo corresponde a La Pampa. También sostuvo que el Gobierno provincial espera que “el cambio de color político no afecte la obra”.
Ibañez dijo que “el Gobierno Nacional desarchivó un planteo ambiental de La Pampa que había sido rechazado por la Corte y el propio consejo de gobernadores del Coirco”.
“Se habla de cuatro provincias reclamando algo y es solo La Pampa, que viene en disputa por el río Atuel. De hecho, hay cuatro provincias que estuvieron de acuerdo”, señaló Ibañez, y recalcó que “hay un proceso licitatorio en curso y desembolsos que hizo la Nación en el marco del acuerdo que celebraron Julio Cobos y Néstor Kirchner”.
“Habrá que esperar lo que suceda en la reunión. Faltan 20 días y vamos a continuar haciendo lo que estábamos haciendo, porque todo el trabajo técnico y ambiental lo venimos haciendo y el gobernador tiene todos los elementos que avalan la viabilidad de Portezuelo“, expresó el ministro de Gobierno sobre la continuidad de la licitación.
“Esperamos que el cambio de color político no afecte la obra”, insistió Ibáñez, en relación a los gobernadores actuales que intervienen en las reuniones del Coirco.
La megaobra tendrá una financiación total, -en caso de llevarse acabo- de más de U$S1.000 millones. Una obra que resulta aún más costosa luego de la crisis generada por la pandemia. Además, otro factor a tener en cuenta es el caudal del Río Colorado en la actualidad. El más bajo en su historia. Estos nuevos condicionantes sumados al reclamo de La Pampa y y el alineamiento de otras tres, hacen que Nación revea seriamente la continuidad de Portezuelo Del Viento.
