El dato se desprende de fórmulas epimediológicas que se aplicaron a nivel nacional para determinar la cantidad de infectados que habrían en el país en el hipotético caso de que no se hubiera decidido implementar la cuarentena y el aislamiento preventivo como política principal para afrontar la pandemia del Covid-19.
Según el presidente Alberto Fernández, la cuarentena evitó que tuviéramos 45.000 infectados en el país al día de hoy. En este sentido, desde el gobierno provincial, explican: “Con el mismo método de cálculo podemos sostener que hoy en La Pampa tendríamos 256 personas enfermas“.
“Nos enfrentamos a un virus altamente contagioso, capaz de duplicar la cantidad de casos cada tres días“, advierten. Así, de esos hipotéticos 256 casos, 13 de ellos (el 5 % de ese total) deberían haber sido tratados en Unidad de Terapia Intensiva por su gravedad. Siguiendo ésta lógica, “hoy estaríamos lamentando el fallecimiento de 6 pampeanos”.
Asimismo, celebran que “a través de las medidas preventivas llevadas adelante, en nuestra provincia logramos bajar sensiblemente su capacidad de contagio y así consecuencias fatales. La clave para que esto no ocurriera fue el trabajo en equipo”.
Por último, en la “carta abierta a los pampeanos y pampeanas“, el gobernador Sergio Ziliotto destaca “un gran equipo de pampeanos y pampeanas que ha conjugado la priorización de la salud pública por parte de nuestro gobierno y el compromiso social de la inmensa mayoría de las familias comprovincianas, que entendieron que nadie se salva solo y que la única vacuna disponible es quedarse en casa. Hicimos mucho y costó mucho esfuerzo hacerlo. No lo dilapidemos”
