Streaming al sombrero: músicos en tiempos de pandemia. Hablamos con León Gamba

El estado de emergencia sanitaria impactó de lleno en la industria musical, cancelando shows y festivales. Emergen alternativas digitales para la emisión de eventos, pero sólo algunos podrán sustentarse en esas plataformas.

Como si fuera poco, en un clima de época regido por la mezquindad y la arbitrariedad del señalamiento compulsivo, la pandemia originada por el coronavirus llegó y generó otra ola de “cancelados”, esta vez, salpicó a todes por igual. La amenaza de Wuhan asomó para bajar el telón y barrer con los escenarios por tiempo indeterminado ¿Qué queda por hacer? Estar tocado por la varita estatal o rezarle al algoritmo.

Muchos músicos están viendo en Instagram Live y Youtube un espacio, ya no de difusión, sino un espacio de contención en esta crisis global. Algunos lo hacen de manera espontánea emitiendo un Live en Instagram sin anuncios previos, y otros lo preparan como un show desde el living de sus hogares. Esto último ya se está convirtiendo en una tendencia. Uno de los problemas que tiene IG es que no es monetizable como si lo es Youtube. Desde hace días se ha visto en redes sociales (sobre todo en Facebook) cadenas de posteos de músicos en donde hacen un llamado al seguime y te sigo para lograr 1000 suscriptores en cada canal de Youtube y de esa manera comenzar a monetizar sus contenidos. Cabe aclarar que Youtube no sólo exige 1000 suscriptores, además se deben tener 4000 horas de visualizaciones para aprobar la monetización del canal.

En el plano nacional, Fito Paez fue el que abrió el line up del “live” estatal maquetado en el marco de aislamiento preventivo decretado por el Gobierno Nacional. El rosarino dio un recital desde su hogar inaugurando el ciclo creado por el Ministerio de Cultura de la Nación. El show intimista de Paez fue transmitido por la TV Pública, Instagram, Youtube y replicado por Infobae, entre otros medios. Vía streaming llegó a 67 mil usuarios por Facebook, 27 mil por Instagram y más de 40  mil por Youtube. Alrededor de 150 mil espectadores online obtuvo ·#YoMeQuedoEnCasa. Las polémicas de esta primera emisión no se originaron por si el show tuvo mala calidad en el stream u otro tipo de fallas técnicas, sino por la cifra, que luego se supo, que se le destinará al ciclo cultural: 7,2 millones de pesos.

Tristán Bauer, titular de la cartera de Cultura, salió al cruce tras la polémica generada en redes por los fondos con los que contará el ciclo. “Nosotros teníamos un presupuesto asignado para espectáculos y eventos. Cuando empezó el tema del Coronavirus, hicimos un proyecto que luego resultó inviable por el aislamiento. Se llamaba ‘Puertas cerradas, corazones abiertos’, era espectáculos sin público, como los músicos tampoco podían exponerse y era un mensaje raro, se decidió que para no cortarle los contratos directamente a los músicos y para que ellos sigan manteniendo la visibilidad y el vínculo con el público, ponerles a disposición los canales del Ministerio para que cuando sea de alta calidad lo que ellos graben desde sus casas, se pueda transmitir por internet”, comentó Bauer a Perfil.

La cifra es un número considerable pero está dentro de los parámetros de fondos que destina Nación a ciclos culturales populares, más allá de la indignación, muchas veces teñida de colores políticos, lo que realmente se puede cuestionar es si va a ser un evento que alcance a artistas de diversos puntos del país que se están viendo seriamente afectados en este contexto de crisis sanitaria o únicamente acobijará a artistas del rango de Paez.

No sólo hay streaming estatal para los artistas “consagrados” o aquellos que se encuentran en en los bordes del under y coquetean con el mainstream, hay una alternativa más: los sponsors. Algunas marcas se están volcando a sponsorear shows en Instagram Live o Youtube. Tal es el caso de Fernet Branca, que auspicia el ciclo Se Sale Juntos #SeSaleEnCasa, que ya en pocos días de cuarentena lleva varias “ediciones”, la primera fue el domingo 22 con el show hogareño de Marilina Bertoldi, y la segunda el Miércoles 25 con la presentación de Dante Spinetta. Los shows y festivales que se han cancelado a raíz de la pandemia se cuentan por decenas, por lo cual es de esperar que las marcas que se han quedado fuera del patrocinio de esos eventos no tarden en redirigir recursos publicitarios a las presentaciones indoor hogareñas por streaming.

Acá, en La Pampa, algunos artistas ven la posibilidad de transmitir su arte por plataformas digitales como un paliativo, al menos anímico. “Lo estamos planteando como un concierto, poniendole un horario, armando un flyer, pensando un repertorio, poniéndonos de acuerdo me entendés? Es una forma de “reemplazar” el concierto tradicional, obviamente no tiene el mismo feedback. No escuchas aplausos, sino que ves un emoji de manitos aplaudiendo. No te dan un abrazo cuando te bajas del escenario pero quizás te dejan un comentario lindo“, dice León gamba, músico pampeano de una auspiciosa carrera.

“Son tiempos difíciles y distintos, que requieren medidas y emociones distintas, y nos estamos adecuando a eso porque como dije ya, la música es nuestro medio de comunicación y de vida, más allá de lo económico, que en mi caso en particular, es mi sustento hace ya unos años, pero también la necesitamos para estar bien“, sostiene León, que se muestra “esperanzado” con la posibilidad de que organismos estatales o firmas privadas apuesten a estas formas alternativas de difusión en caso de que esto se extienda: “Ojalá, espero que haya un apoyo de sectores público y privados. Entiendo que la economía está pasando una situación muy compleja, y tanto la administración pública como el sponsor de una firma tienen otras prioridades. Pero atrás de una transmisión en vivo que parece un simple acto de poner un teléfono a grabar y cantar unas canciones, hay años de estudio, inversión, una carrera, instrumentos, y demás”, dice.

No escuchas aplausos, sino que ves un emoji de manitos aplaudiendo. No te dan un abrazo cuando te bajas del escenario pero quizás te dejan un comentario lindo

“Yo vivo de la música y para la música, hacer música me hace feliz y es mi oficio. Pero va a llegar un punto donde la heladera se va a empezar a vaciar. Hay artistas que ponen a consideración su CBU por ejemplo, para que la gente done una entrada a consciencia. Me parece genial pero no sé si me animo a eso”, confiesa León.

En La Pampa hay artistas que viven exclusivamente de la música, no son muchos, pero los hay. Y cuando uno dice viven de la música no estamos hablando de músicos que tienen un contrato con una disquera o viven de regalías. Viven de la música cuando salen a tocar. Cuando arman una fecha o son contratados para un evento. Esto les ha cambiado la realidad, y saben que para volver a ese status de “vivir de lo que te gusta”, este momento de incertidumbre tiene que pasar. Y pronto.

El escenario es incierto, nadie puede saber, ni siquiera intuir cuando todo va a volver a la normalidad en la industria cultural. Por el momento, las posibilidades que han generado las transmisiones online son sólo redituables para unos pocos.
