En comunicación con Revista BIFE, La diputada radical de Cantera Popular, Agustina García, ratificó su postura: si no se regula, la prostitución seguirá en la clandestinidad donde se originan los mayores males.
Aunque el reglamentarismo, dijo, tal cual se lo propone hoy, “no es la solución”. Por eso pidió: “que se debata”, “que se lo ponga sobre la mesa de las discusiones”.
La semana pasada, se reavivó la discusión cuando el Ministerio de Desarrollo Social incluyó al trabajo sexual en el Registro Nacional de Trabajadores/as de la Economía Popular. A los pocos días el formulario fue retirado.
En La Pampa mucha gente opinó. Hubo una voluntad de suturar el debate a través de las declaraciones de todas las personas que opinaron sobre el tema y dijeron una y otra vez: “La prostitución no es un trabajo”. Listo.
García fue la única que no recurrió a la muletilla políticamente correcta, que adoptó una postura distinta. Con voluntad de debatir.
En todas las provincias del país hay dos fuertes posturas: abolicionismo y reglamentarismo. Pedir simplemente un debate en La Pampa, capital del abolicionismo –y quizá del puritarismo– es meterse en camisa de once varas. Es tocar un nervio. Incomodar.
Recibió artillería de propios y ajenos. Incluso gente de su partido llamó para que se desdiga públicamente. No lo hizo.
Llamó la atención la virulencia de hombres que, si se hubiera seguido la lógica que pregonan, habrían cometido violencia sobre la joven diputada.
Al consultarle, eligió no entrar en ninguna provocación de gambeta corta: “Celebro que los hombres se metan en estas discusiones, está bien que den su postura. Pero siempre hablan desde afuera”.
García no tuvo inconvenientes con meterse en camisas de once varas. Al contrario, con BIFE aclaró: “Yo no tengo filtro ni doble moral. Digo lo que pienso. No quiero ser hipócrita”.
Entonces le advirtió a su clase: “El sector político es el que más consume prostitución”. “Hay una resistencia del sector a discutir esto. Es un tema de la militancia. No quiero apuntar a nadie”.
Así habló Agustina García:
“Si tengo que elegir una de las dos posturas, elijo el reglamentarismo, aunque no coincido en cosas, como volver a los cabaret”.
“Hay nuevas formas de trabajo sexual: una es la venta de fotos por Internet. Tanto en chicos como en chicas. Muchos pagan sus estudios así en Argentina, y La Pampa no es ajeno a nada. ¿Vamos a seguir mirando para otro lado? ¿Vamos a seguir negándolo?”.
“Hemos avanzado con los cabarets. Aunque con los cierres de cabarets, han salido mujeres a la calle a ejercerlo, y eso es aún más peligroso”.
BIFE se comunicó a fines del año pasado con Georgina Orellano, secretaria de AMMAR. Se le consultó por su visita a La Pampa en 2016. Contó que había venido porque tres colegas se habían enterado de la existencia del sindicato y la contactaron. Trabajaban en whiskerías y tras el cierre tuvieron que recurrir a la calle, donde eran ultrajadas y robadas reiteradamente por policías y por civiles. Orellano contó que en La Pampa tanto la clase política, como los medios de comunicación y sectores de la militancia, prácticamente la echaron de la provincia. Una radio “comunitaria, alternativa y popular” directamente le preguntó al aire con cuántos hombres se acostaba por día. Hasta diciembre del año pasado, dos de las tres trabajadores sexuales pampeanas habían dejado la provincia y estaban ejerciendo en Mar del Plata.
¿Es ingenua la postura abolicionista de creer que se puede erradicar la prostitución?
“Yo creo que plantean una utopía”.
“Es más utópico que funcional. Ojalá que todas pudieran elegir su trabajo, pero hoy el Estado no está ocupando ese rol, es un Estado ausenten. Por eso seguir negando esta forma de trabajo es volver a meter a las mujeres en la clandestinidad”.
Dentro del feminismo, ¿en qué situación se encuentran las dos posturas?
“Lo que yo no puedo tolerar es que no haya diálogo entre las mujeres. Las grietas son posturas encontradas. Pero se ha armado una discordia con mujeres, y hay que llegar a un diálogo con los dos sectores. El problema está y ocurre en la clandestinidad. Hay que llegar a un consenso entre las dos partes”.
Por último, García adelantó que entre los jóvenes, en la universidad, “hay una voluntad de plantear la temática, en donde se admite que se ejerce en la calle y algo hay que hacer en ese sentido”.
