Confirmaron la circulación de las cepas Manaos y Andina en La Pampa

Desde el Ministerio de Salud, a través de la Dirección de Epidemiología de La Pampa, se comunicó la confirmación de la presencia de cepa Manaos en 12 muestras y 1 de Andina en el territorio pampeano.

 En el marco de la vigilancia genómica de SARS-COV-2, con el objetivo de identificar las variantes presentes en el país, en el mes de abril se enviaron 24 muestras de pacientes de La Pampa al Instituto Malbrán para secuenciación. Las muestras seleccionadas correspondían a pacientes de distintas localidades de la Provincia, los cuales no tienen relación entre sí.

Al día de la fecha y según lo notificado por el Instituto Malbrán en el Sistema Nacional de Vigilancia, de las 24 muestras derivadas en 12 se identificó la variante Manaos, en 1 se identificó la variante Andina, en 7 no se identificaron variantes de interés, 3 no fueron aptas para secuenciar y 1 continúa en estudio.

Más allá del conocimiento de esta situación de circulación de nuevas variantes en la Provincia las estrategias de prevención, control, diagnóstico y tratamiento no cambian.

Desde el Ministerio de Salud pampeano se apeló una vez más a la responsabilidad social, al uso de las medidas de prevención y el cumplimiento de protocolos.
