El gobernador Sergio Ziliotto firmó el Decreto que introduce modificaciones en los requisitos de ingreso a la Escuela de Policía de La Pampa.La actualización de la normativa establece que la estatura y el uso de tatuajes que no atenten contra valores institucionales, no será excluyentes para el ingreso.
En relación a la edad de admisión se estableció en un mínimo de 20 años y un máximo de 26 años para los postulantes a Agentes.
La nueva normativa, que lleva las firmas del gobernador de la Provincia, Sergio Ziliotto y el ministro de Seguridad, Horacio di Nápoli, marca un nuevo rumbo y una mirada actualizada y superadora que se hace eco de las necesidades que la realidad social impone sin dejar de lado la identidad y profesionalismo policial.
Las modificaciones surgen de un trabajo de estudio y análisis donde se concertó establecer las adecuaciones normativas que permitan una adaptación a los nuevos paradigmas que caracterizan al quehacer policial, con fundamento en estándares y principios internacionales de derechos humanos. El objetivo central de los cambios promovidos apunta a actualizar las exigencias de ingreso a las formas de vida actuales, acompañando la natural evolución que la sociedad transita.
De esta forma se eliminó de los requisitos de ingreso la estatura mínima obligatoria de los candidatos y candidatas a entrar en la Escuela de Policía, ya que ello puede constituirse en una forma de discriminación indirecta y vulnerar derechos fundamentales de igualdad y acceso a la función pública. Si bien las tareas policiales requieren capacidades o aptitudes físicas particulares, no necesariamente se vinculan con la posesión de una estatura física determinada, por lo que este aspecto no puede erigirse como un elemento definitorio para el ingreso a las filas policiales.
Respecto del uso de símbolos corporales, como tatuajes, se dejan de lado los estereotipos morales y sociales negativos que implicaban y eran impedimento para el ingreso a la fuerza. Hoy, su posesión se aprecia como un producto de consumo estandarizado, especialmente entre los y las jóvenes y así lo entiende la nueva norma dispuesta por el Gobierno de La Pampa.
Ante esto y en procura de que la institución policial evolucione al ritmo de la sociedad, el uso de tatuajes permanentes o temporales quede permitido siempre que no atenten contra la Ley o los principios institucionales.
Por último, se acordaron modificaciones en el rango etario de los postulantes a ingresar a la carrera de Agente de Policía. De ahora en más será requisito tener 20 años como mínimo y no más de 26 años, con excepción del personal proveniente de otras fuerzas de seguridad de la República Argentina (no Fuerzas Armadas), cuya edad máxima puede ser 30 años o de viudos/as o hijos/as del personal policial de la Provincia muerto en cumplimiento del deber. Hasta este momento la edad para la inscripción de aspirantes a Agentes estaba contemplado desde los 18 a los 30 años.
