El subsecretario de Deportes del Ministerio de Desarrollo Social, Ceferino Almudévar, participó de la reunión del Comité Ejecutivo de los EPADE en los que se oficializó la realización de la competencia, que reemplazará a la cita suspendida en Chile.
El encuentro tuvo lugar en Viedma y el flamante evento representa una alternativa a la tradicional competencia binacional que, por efectos de la situación sanitaria en el país trasandino, se suspendió por segundo año consecutivo. De esta manera, los jóvenes que iban a representar a la provincia en dichos Juegos en este 2021 no se quedarán sin esa chance. La participación, incluso, se ampliará, ya que se sumará –como invitado, aunque con carácter competitivo- el handball.
La primera edición se desarrollará entre el 31 de octubre y el 5 de noviembre y en diferentes sedes: el handball y el atletismo en Neuquén; el judo y el ciclismo en Viedma; el vóley en Tierra del Fuego; la natación en Río Gallegos; y el fútbol y el básquet en Chubut.
EPADE
La reunión también sirvió para ratificar la organización de los EPADE y Para-EPADE 2021 en La Pampa en diciembre, sujeto a la evolución de la situación sanitaria.
Por este motivo, la provincia no recibirá a los Juegos Nacionales en esta ocasión.
Los representantes de la Provincia presentaron, además, los protocolos sanitarios que se instrumentaràn entonces ante sus pares patagònicos. La pròxima reuniòn del Comitè serà el 30 y 31 de agosto en La Pampa.
