Llegaron al país las vacunas donadas por Estados Unidos: 3,5 millones de dosis del laboratorio Moderna

Un total de 3,5 millones de vacunas contra el coronavirus del laboratorio de Moderna llegaron anoche a la Argentina desde la ciudad de Memphis, Estados Unidos, en dos vuelos de Aerolíneas Argentinas.

En detalle, el primero de los vuelos, matrícula LV-FNL, tocó pista a las 22, 53, en tanto que el segundo, matrícula LV-FVH, lo hizo a las 23 en el Aeropuerto Internacional de Ezeiza se hicieron presentes el Jefe de Gabinete, Santiago Cafiero, funcionarios del Ministerio de Salud de la Nación y representantes de la Embajada de EEUU en Argentina.

“Ser depositarios de esta donación, a nosotros nos representa haber llegado a los 36 millones y medio de vacunas en el territorio argentino y esto es producto de la determinación del Presidente de avanzar en la cooperación, con el cuidado de los bienes soberanos, con el cuidado de la Argentina y también de los argentinos y argentinas y así poder conseguir estas vacunas y muchas más que estarán llegando”, indicó el funcionario.

Previamente, el presidente de la Nación, Alberto Fernández, había expresado: “La pandemia es una advertencia y, al mismo tiempo, una oportunidad para avanzar hacia sociedades más equitativas, más inclusivas y más justas», y destacó que «esta donación del Gobierno de Estados Unidos es una contribución muy importante que marca un camino de cooperación”.

Hasta el momento, llegaron 36.291.730 dosis, de las cuales 11.868.830 corresponden a Sputnik V, (9.375.670 del componente 1 y 2.493.160 del componente 2); 10.608.000 a Sinopharm; 580.000 a AstraZeneca-Covishield, 1.944.000 a AstraZeneca por el mecanismo Covax de la OMS, 7.790.900 a las de AstraZeneca y Oxford cuyo principio activo se produjo en la Argentina y 3.500.00 dosis de Moderna.
