El presidente Alberto Fernández dijo este sábado que espera que el laboratorio AstraZeneca “empiece a cumplir sus compromisos con América Latina” y reveló que días atrás mantuvo una conversación con sus autoridades, en la que expresó su “malestar” por el retraso en la llegada de esas vacunas contra el coronavirus.
“Estamos esperando que AstraZeneca empiece a cumplir sus compromisos con América Latina”, dijo el Presidente en declaraciones a radio Diez, donde relató que tuvo una “comunicación la semana pasada con el CEO”, donde le manifestó su “malestar por lo que está pasando”.
“Argentina produjo 30 millones de principios activos y no ha vuelto la cantidad de vacunas que se comprometieron a traer”, especificó el jefe de Estado.
En tanto, Fernández dijo que habla “personalmente” con “todos los laboratorios y presidentes del mundo para conseguir más vacunas” al tiempo que resaltó la “expectativa de poder producir en Argentina la Sputnik V”.
“Seguimos trabajando buscando vacunas en el mundo y no saben el tiempo que le dedico personalmente a hablar con laboratorios y presidentes del mundo para conseguir vacunas”, confió el mandatario.
Fernández añadió que “estamos entre los países que más ha vacunado” pero que sin embargo, las autoridades siguen “trabajando con el Instituto Gamaleya, y con la Federación Rusa” en momentos en que “se abre esta expectativa de poder producir en Argentina la Sputnik”.
En este punto, el jefe de Estado resaltó que “seguimos trabajando con Covax y estamos trabajando con todos, con Moderna, con Pfizer, con absolutamente todos a ver si podemos resolver el tema de vacunas que faltan en el mundo, no es que faltan solo en Argentina“.
Argentina contará desde mediados de la próxima semana con casi 10 millones de vacunas para la lucha contra la pandemia del coronavirus, cuando reciba un millón de dosis elaboradas por el laboratorio Sinopharm, de China.
La nueva partida arribará en tres vuelos que estarán aterrizando en Ezeiza el domingo, el lunes y el miércoles y, de esa manera, el país habrá llegado a sumar 9.932.600 vacunas para el combate de la Covid-19.
