Mientras el acceso a agua potable, a un hisopado y múltiples derechos permanecen con reserva para las comunidades originarias, se conoció una triste noticia: el fallecimiento de un bebé wichí de nueve meses tras contagiarse de coronavirus.

El pequeño era oriundo de Santa Victoria Este, en el departamento de Rivadavia -provincia de Salta- y se encontraba internado en el Hospital de Tartagal y con un cuadro de bronconeumonía y COVID-19. El hecho cobró difusión en las últimas horas mediante un diario local que indicó que a su vez la madre y padre del niño también comparten el diagnóstico positivo.

En medio de la crisis sanitaria que atraviesa al país en el marco de la pandemia, múltiples realidades sufren las consecuencias del virus y las desigualdades sociales. A ellas se suma este hecho, que investiga el intento de ocultamiento por parte del gerente del Hospital de Santa Victoria Este, César Oviedo.

De acuerdo a lo informado por La Izquierda Diario, cinco integrantes de comunidades originarias fallecieron la semana pasada. “Se sospecha que tenían covid pero los Gobiernos les niegan, además del acceso al agua potable y una larga lista de derechos, el hisopado post morten”, fue detallado.

Hace unos días, se difundió el estremecedor testimonio de una enfermera jujeña que denunció la falta de oxígeno y elementos sanitarios para hacerle frente al coronavirus. “En este momento me encuentro sola con nueve pacientes. No hay camas ni oxígeno y el director dice que todo está bien. La mayoría de mis compañeros ya se enfermaron y a nadie le interesa, no hacen nada. Estas son las condiciones”, había denunciado mediante un video.
