El poder la promociona en términos de amor y éxito y oculta su violento origen bajo un manto retórico de naturalismo biologicista (también llamado esencia en concilios metafísicos). No se puede cuestionar en ningún foro (cotidiano o académico) la falsedad de dicha prédica, porque una se ve apedreada de inmediato por humanistas liberales y republicanos armados con sinónimo ahínco, sean ricos, pobres o clase media.

De los ricos y de los pobres no espero nada, el exceso de privilegios o la falta de ellos justifican cualquier accionar. Que un rico tenga tres hijos o que un pobre tenga siete resulta menos aberrante que un progre de clase media tenga dos. La educación secundaria completa y hasta los títulos universitarios parecen no surtir efecto en la clase media que compra en oferta la propagada de la reproducción y su asignación social: la “familia nuclear”. Andan de acá para allá con pañuelos, carteles y canciones criticando al capitalismo y pregonando la liberación, pero que no le toquen lo que ellos creen que es su “maternidad deseada”; no hay deseo que no sea calculado y gestionado previamente.

Pero eso no le importa a la gente, no, la gente prefiere la anestesia o naturalización del yugo que la oprime. Por eso después de miles de años seguimos siendo los mismos monos sin cola que besan sonrientes el látigo del amo. El humano que vive entre humanos está condenado a ser un humano. Y hasta que no haya un verdadero cambio social va a ser muy difícil que una persona con alguna inteligencia pueda sentirse orgullosa de su especie.

Creo que en esto habría que seguir a Rousseau que, en una de las setecientas páginas de sus Confesiones, recomienda terminar con la jurisprudencia parasitaria que regula las herencias. Si no existiera la herencia la gente tendría menos hijos y los hijos esperarían menos ansiosos la muerte de sus progenitores. Porque la herencia implica, por un lado, el entusiasmo de los padres de transmitir sus creencias oxidadas y su aberrante moral identitaria y, por el otro, la expectativa tan común entre nosotros de esperar que nos caiga del cielo una moto o cinco mil hectáreas, según la longitud genealógica de nuestro parasitismo. La herencia de costumbres, de “sangre” y de objetos alivia el compromiso de crearse una la personalidad, el facilismo es la característica intrínseca del ser humano y por eso no resulta extraño que lo único inheredable sea el conocimiento.

La solución de Rousseau me parece más práctica y menos impetuosa que la de Jonathan Swift, que en un pequeño opúsculo satírico (aclaro por temor a los literalistas), en 1729 propuso, para acabar con la sobrepoblación y el hambre en Irlanda, comerse a los bebés. Swift percibió tempranamente la violencia de la reproducción y no fue reconocido, se lo tildó de loco y de asesino. Trescientos años después, la gente ha descubierto con la pandemia, maravillada por el regreso de los animales a su hábitat primigenio, que los humanos somos el verdadero problema del mundo. Por eso es más importante leer a Swift que cualquier estupidez recomendada por las revistas de cultura.

Tal vez haga falta una plaga que nos limpie como los parásitos que somos para que la gente abandone el romanticismo de la multiplicación y se decida finalmente a encarar de manera personal su existencia. Ojalá la gente entienda que el mundo en el que vivimos es un mundo ficticio inventado por los opresores, que las identidades no valen nada y que la soberbia de transmitir valores de generación en generación no es otra cosa que un impulso narcisista. Es necesario abandonar la ilusión de que tener hijos es un acto natural de amor y aceptar el carácter represivo de dicha institución, acaso de esta manera podamos tener más tiempo para leer a Rousseau y seamos capaces de transformar el mundo en un lugar solidario, comprensivo y al que no le falten mejores entretenimientos.

PD: Hay un lugar especial en el infierno para los que tienen hijos pensando en quién los va a cuidar cuando sean viejos.
