En el contexto de crisis económica generada por la pandemia del coronavirus, la deuda total de las familias alcanzó los $1,7 billones, afectando a 11,1 millones de hogares, que equivalen al 80,8% de los hogares del país. Así surge de cruzar los datos del Banco Central con una encuesta entre 5890 hogares realizada por CERX entre el 17 y 24 de abril.
Los atrasos más frecuentes en abril fueron en servicios como luz, gas, agua, teléfono, cable, internet o expensas, que afectó al 70% de los hogares. Con una deuda promedio de $10.585 por familia, explicó el 20,3% de la deuda no bancaria ($102.207 millones). Claramente, fue una de las primeras cuentas que se dejó de pagar con la crisis.
Según el relevamiento, en promedio cada familia adeudaba a esa fecha 149.406 pesos. Ese monto no incluye los costos asociados a moras y retrasos, que fueron en incremento con los días en cuarentena y podrían incrementar en más de 50% ese stock.
Ese stock de deuda tiene dos grandes componentes: por un lado, la deuda “no bancaria” que desde la consultora estiman en $503.574 millones. Unos 10,8 millones de hogares tenían algún tipo de esas deudas al 24/4 (78,4% de los hogares del país). Y por otro, la deuda “bancaria” que según el BCRA alcanzó los $1,2 billones al 22 de abril (casi la mitad es deuda con tarjetas de crédito – $536 mil millones).

En tanto, el incumplimiento de impuestos, sería el segundo componente, con $100.433 millones. Lo que más se dejó de pagar en abril fue impuesto inmobiliario y patentes. Explica ese item el 19,9% de la deuda no bancaria actual. Habría 6,3 millones de hogares con algún tributo adeudado al 24 de abril, ya sea nacional, provincial o municipal, $15.845 promedio por hogar. Hay que tener en cuenta que muchas familias ya acumulaban deudas, por eso es tan alto el stock.

El tercer endeudamiento de peso fue el mantenido con prestamistas y financiera, que estimamos en $93.805 millones (18,6% de la deuda no bancaria). Afecta a casi 1,5 millones de hogares, con un monto promedio de $62.539 cada uno.
Otros items que conforman la deuda no bancaria familiar al proyectar las declaraciones realizadas en la encuesta al total nacional, serían: gastos vinculados con el auto (seguro y cuota) donde los atrasos se hicieron muy frecuentes en el último mes y habrían sumado $70.904 millones; deudas con familiares y amigos ($64.720 millones); alquileres impagos por $42.889 millones; Educación (cuota de jardines, colegios y universidades principalmente) por $23.364 millones y deudas directas con los comercios por ventas en la modalidad “fiado” por $5.251 millones. En este último componente las más mencionadas fueron deudas con farmacias, almacenes, zapaterías, y servicios profesionales.
