Provincia adquirió equipos destinados a tratamientos de oxígenoterapia un monto de casi $32 millones de pesos

Desde el Ministerio de Salud sigue creciendo la inversión en distintas terapias y salas de clínica médica en equipamientos vinculados con oxígenoterapia, con la adquisición de 42 equipos de Alto Flujo y ocho BiPap (ventilación no invasiva), por un monto de $ 31.795.176.

Al respecto el subsecretario de Salud, Gustavo Vera, explicó a que se viene implementando toda una política de tratamiento con oxígenoterapia. “Tiene una tradición de más de 14 años y en este último tiempo se implementó el Alto Flujo, para lo que se necesita mucho oxígeno, que en el caso de La Pampa, además, se produce”.


“Si bien la Provincia tenía equipos de alto flujo, había cuatro en Santa Rosa y seis en General Pico. En estos momentos se definió una inversión para otros 42 equipos, en lo que se conocen como CAFO, que se colocan en la cabeza del paciente, utilizando una concentración alta de oxígeno llegando a los 60 litros por minuto, lo normal es 5 o 6. Esto se utiliza principalmente en dispositivos de internación intermedia, como modulares, clínicas, para prevenir que el paciente ingrese a terapia intensiva. Lo mismo sucede con los BIPAP son dispositivos no invasivos que ayudan a respirar al paciente”, explicó.


Agregó que el sistema ya se utilizó en Santa Rosa y General Pico, próximamente en General Acha y también en algunos sectores del privado. “Se trata de un equipamiento costoso, no sólo por su valor económico sino por la cantidad de oxígeno que utiliza, pero es una terapia que complementa todo lo relacionado a la oxígenoterapia, como paso previo para evitar el ingreso a la terapia intensiva. También se utiliza para otras patologías, no solo COVID, por lo que la inversión quedará en la Provincia”.


Se trata de 18 unidades destinadas al Hospital Lucio Molas, que va con todo el equipamiento (cama, médico y demás), otras 18 en el Gobernador Centeno de General Pico, dos para General Acha y también, en comodato, algunos equipos para instituciones privadas. “Esto evita en un gran porcentaje que el paciente llegue al respirador, es una estrategia más de las muchas que desarrolla la Provincia en materia de salud”, concluyó Vera.

El licenciado en kinesiología Mariano Marconetto, desde el Establecimiento Asistencial Gobernador Centeno, hizo hincapié en el nivel de equipamiento recibido en el nosocomio público norteño. “Durante la última visita del subsecretario de Salud, con motivo de la ampliación de la Planta de Oxígeno, fui consultado respecto a la necesidad del equipamiento de Alto Flujo y solicitamos algunos más, rápidamente tuvimos respuesta. Además de cinco dispositivos de BipAp Stellar 150 y cascos Helmet, que son de ventilación no invasiva y que utilizamos en pacientes”.
Aclaró que los nuevos Alto Flujo se sumarán a los ya existentes en el Establecimiento. “Contamos con un equipamiento excelente, la verdad que en dispositivos de ventilación no invasiva y en dispositivos de Alto Flujo tenemos en calidad y en cantidad”, graficó.

En tanto, el coordinador de Modulares del Hospital Lucio Molas, Daniel Volpe, aportó que estos equipos de Alto Flujo “se usan en pacientes complicados, con neumonía avanzada; es un paso previo a la terapia intensiva, donde pasan a respiración mecánica”.
Todo el equipamiento y aparatología adquirida permite una buena atención en este paso previo al ingreso a terapia, por lo que, además, resulta fundamental a la hora de evitar los colapsos en dicho sector.
En los Modulares son 14 los equipos recibidos y en la actualidad son 5 los CAFOS ocupados, si bien esta situación es muy dinámica “son recursos que llegan a reforzar las herramientas que tenemos, con la terapia de alto flujo se mejoran muchos pacientes y permiten una mejor evolución”, concluyó.
