“La Argentina se ha convertido en el primer país de América Latina en comenzar la producción de la vacuna Sputnik V. RDIF y sus socios han realizado una transferencia de tecnología a los Laboratorios Richmond”, señalaba el comunicado difundido por el organismo ruso.
Hoy la ministra de Salud, Carla Vizzotti, anunció que el Instituto Gamaleya aprobó los resultados del control de calidad de los componentes de la vacuna Spuntnik V producidos en el laboratorio Richmond, de la Argentina, con lo cual el país será “parte de la cadena de producción” de la vacuna rusa.
“El Instituto Gamaleya ha confirmado el control de calidad satisfactorio de tres lotes de cada uno de los componentes de la vacuna Spuntik. Vamos a avanzar en que Argentina sea parte de la cadena de producción de la vacuna”, dijo la ministra en rueda de prensa en Casa de Gobierno.
El acuerdo entre Rusia y el laboratorio
Por su parte, desde Laboratorios Richmond también comunicaron que la producción de este primer lote fue enviado al Gamaleya para que realicen “las pruebas de calidad” y añadieron que “de ser positivo el proceso, la producción a escala comenzaría en junio de 2021”.
“Laboratorios Richmond se enorgullece de contar con el respaldo del Fondo Ruso de Inversión Directa, que confió en su capacidad científico tecnológica para producir la vacuna Sputnik V en Argentina”, indicó el comunicado de la compañía, y aseguró que “retribuirá con trabajo, compromiso y profesionalismo para asegurar la disponibilidad de la vacuna en el plazo más corto posible para el país y para la región”.Publicidad
En el momento en que se anunció el memorando de entendimiento entre el RDIF y Laboratorios Richmond -en febrero pasado-, el presidente Alberto Fernández destacó el acuerdo.
“Estamos muy entusiasmados con la posibilidad de producir la Sputnik V en la Argentina, vacuna con la cual ya estamos protegiendo a gran parte de nuestra población con excelentes resultados. Será una gran oportunidad para avanzar en la lucha contra la pandemia no solo en la Argentina, sino también en América Latina”, dijo entonces el Presidente.
