Colombia: el país del realismo mágico que reinventa la muerte

Desde Colombia, en carne propia el cronista da un panorama general sobre los últimos hechos sangrientos protagonizados por un corrupto poder político y su policía. Cuenta las historias de estudiantes, líderes sociales e indígenas asesinados, que se “convirtieron en una estadística más”. “Salir a la calle hoy día significa ver cómo el verdugo aparece y reinventa la muerte”.

Imaginar a Colombia hoy día, crearla o recrearla en la estética, dejó de ser el resultado de un ejercicio fragoroso entre un escritor alucinado por una realidad que lo enfebrece y las letras que no alcanzan para nombrar la incesante aparición de aquella belleza desbordada. Porque la realidad en este país, tras los acontecimientos de los últimos días, registrados en numerosos vídeos, denuncias de violaciones a los Derechos Humanos, mujeres víctimas de violaciones sexuales, desapariciones forzadas, muerte a tiros por parte de escuadrones de paramilitares, policía y escuadrones antimotines con sus disparos de gases lacrimógenos y porrazos, se nos muestra asombrosa en sus contornos, resplandeciente y enceguecedora en sus colores, ahora sin que las palabras se conviertan en mediadoras. Justo ahora basta con arriesgarse a salir a la calle de cualquier ciudad y palparla en su crudeza, justo cuando los jóvenes, comunidades enteras desplazadas viviendo a la intemperie, se despliegan en las horas del día o del alba, o de la noche, para disputar un pan duro y arrebatárselo a esa Historia que los ha convertido en la nada. En seres invisibles.

Atrás quedó Gabriel García Márquez y sus lectores más fervorosos aún enardecidos al pronunciar el tal “realismo mágico” y sus derivaciones estéticas y mercadotécnicas.  Porque los estallidos de las bombas aturdidoras y las balas, y el hambre, y la escasez, y la miseria, son el pan de cada día. Así como también las historias de líderes sociales y comunitarios, ambientalistas, profesores, pueblos originarios, día a día masacrados, convertidos en una estadística, en una cifra de un informe de algún organismo no gubernamental.

Justo ahora basta con arriesgarse a salir a la calle de cualquier ciudad y palparla en su crudeza

Este es el tiempo de contar historias como la de Lucas, un estudiante de artes asesinado de ocho tiros en una manifestación pacífica en una ciudad del Eje Cafetero. También la del profesor ambientalista Alberto Alzáte, asesinado en su propia casa por paramilitares. O la de Dylan, un joven bachiller asesinado por una bala antimotines disparada con certera puntería por parte de un policía del E.S.M.A.D. en Bogotá. Y cientos de historias más de abusos policiales, uso desproporcionado de la fuerza, adecuación de centros deportivos para la encarcelación y tortura de manifestantes, a la usanza de las dictaduras del Cono Sur.            

Nos encontramos cara a cara con nuestros perseguidores. De casco verde o negro, y revestidos con la indumentaria de un robocop listos para arremeter contra manifestantes cuyas únicas armas son palos, piedras y barricadas. Mientras en algún estadio se juega un partido de la Copa Libertadores. Los ademanes delatan. Los ojos de los manifestantes destellan en sus profundidades la intensidad del miedo que los mueve a correr, a desplazarse entre calles huyendo de las balas, del ruido furioso de las tanquetas y las motocicletas policiales que atropellan lo que sea. Hasta la espesura de algún monte en donde se arremolinan las exhalaciones frenéticas, las máscaras antigás de periodistas, las piernas, el calor, y la humedad ecuatorial. Nadie pronuncia una palabra. Pero sabemos que los verdugos andan rondando.

Antes, mientras nos aseguraban los bancos y los organismos financieros del primer mundo que Colombia tendría un ascenso económico sin precedentes, nos sentíamos en una burbuja que flotaba suave en el cielo azul sin preocupaciones, asentados en aquel falso mundo de privilegios. La tranquilidad de nuestras vidas, al ser respirada con dócil energía, vertía en el pecho un cielo abierto profundo y esperanzador. Justo antes de los primeros estallidos de aquel paro nacional, año 2019, que sólo presagiaba la dura situación fiscal profundizada ahora por una pandemia sobre la cual no hubo más respuesta que la improvisación y el aceleramiento de las artimañas corruptas del Gobierno Nacional y de las administraciones locales. Salir a la calle hoy día significa ver cómo el verdugo aparece y reinventa la muerte: Saca su arma y descarga en nuestras barbillas la detonación que astilla nuestras cabezas por detrás. Luego se da la fuga. Ya no revolotean en nuestros jardines las mariposas amarillas.

Si nos desempeñamos como profesores o maestros en algún lugar bastante alejado del casco urbano tenemos que someternos a ver y callar. Alquilar un pequeño cuarto en alguna casa convertida en pensión de mala muerte, y luego del agitado transcurrir de las horas revisando una y otra vez los garabatos de los niños, sobreponerse a la oscuridad intensa de la noche con tal de ver una límpida mañana respirando profundamente el azar de la vida ahí.

Si somos periodistas, presentimos la entrada violenta de agentes de la policía a nuestras oficinas. Irrumpen, saquean, hurtan archivos y computadoras, amparados en leyes arteras, emprenden carrera en camionetas de alta gama, no sin antes soltar una granada de fragmentación que hace volar nuestros restos junto con los escombros y los vestigios de una tranquilidad inexistente.

Ya no revolotean en nuestros jardines las mariposas amarillas

Hoy, en este país de un esquizofrénico y sagrado corazón de Jesús, explotan los colores rojo y amarillo de las bombas en Puerto Resistencia-Cali; en el Portal de las Américas -Bogotá; en Buga; en Popayán; en Tunja; en Barranquilla; en Cartagena; en Nariño, y en  las regiones rurales donde el conflicto armado nunca pasó a llamarse “postconflicto”.  Ahora que en medio de esta confrontación interna la clase gobernante se regodea en su avaricia, corrupción voraz y racismo estructural, la luz que augura un amanecer fresco de primavera en el cual  mariposas amarillas macondianas atraviesan nuestra realidad mágica, se nos antoja un artificio. Una manipulación monstruosa. Aún no alcanzamos a entender: en Colombia, así como creemos que en el azar de esta vida la belleza aparece y desaparece; nuestros verdugos, quienes pueden encontrarse a la vuelta de la esquina, buscan mil ardides para acabar con la amenazadora sombra de nosotros mismos. Porque eso somos ahora: los verdugos que buscan, matan, y huyen…
