La vacuna Sputnik V contra el coronavirus, creada y producida por el Instituto Gamaleya, fue la primera en llegar a Argentina para comenzar con la campaña de vacunación. 

El laboratorio Richmond de Argentina firmó un memorándum de entendimiento con la Sociedad Gestora del Fondo de Inversión Directa de Rusia, para producir la vacuna Sputnik V contra el coronavirus en el país, según informó la empresa.

En el desarrollo de la vacuna rusa en la Argentina participará Hetero Labs Limited, un laboratorio de India con el que Richmond mantiene una alianza estratégica desde hace más de 25 años. 

La provincia más eficaz: La Pampa ya ha aplicado más del 80% de las dosis recibidas de la vacuna

El laboratorio Richmond tiene una planta de producción en el municipio bonaerense de Pilar y lanzó recientemente un plan de inversión de 80 millones de dólares proyectado para los próximos cinco años. A inicios de febrero, Kirill Dmitriev, director general del RDIF, había afirmado en una rueda de prensa virtual que “la Argentina puede producir la vacuna Sputnik V”.

El acuerdo fue suscripto en Moscú por Tagir Sitdekov, en representación RDIF, y Marcelo Figueiras, presidente de Richmond, según un comunicado de la empresa local.
