El Gobierno convocó a una Audiencia Pública para marzo, en la que se analizarán las nuevas tarifas del gas “adecuadas a los salarios”, y el nivel de los subsidios a cargo del Estado, bajo la premisa de “proteger los derechos de los usuarios”.
La Audiencia Pública está prevista para el 15 de marzo. Allí, se analizará en un “proceso participativo” el costo del gas natural por redes, y la proporción de la cual se hará cargo el Estado vía subsidios, dentro del Plan Gas.Ar vigente, a casi dos años de mantenerse tarifas sin incrementos. Así lo dispuso este martes el secretario de Energía de la Nación, Darío Martínez, a través de la resolución 117/2021 que será publicada en el Boletín Oficial este miércoles.
El funcionario había asegurado, además, que el Estado está trabajando en la elaboración de un cuadro tarifario “de transición”, y que repensar el esquema incluye otorgar un esquema de subsidios “más eficiente”. “Es sumamente importante asegurar la transparencia en la toma de decisiones que afectan el interés común de la ciudadanía, como lo es el costo del componente gas natural que pasa a la tarifa, que debe adecuarse al salario de los argentinos, y no al revés”, indicó en un comunicado.
Por su parte, en la última semana, el ministro de Economía, Martín Guzmán, afirmó que las tarifas tendrán una “actualización para asegurar la rentabilidad de las empresas”, pero en “un marco de transición, para evitar que las subas sean por encima de la inflación”. En distintas oportunidades, el titular del Palacio de Hacienda, insistió en que los subsidios “no vayan creciendo” sino que se mantengan invariables en función del ratio del PBI, lo que de ocurrir implicaría “emisión monetaria que presione el tipo de cambio y desestabilice la economía”.
La convocatoria se da en el marco del Plan de Promoción de la Producción del Gas Natural Argentino-Esquema de Oferta y Demanda 2020-2024 (conocido como Plan Gas.Ar), que busca abastecer de gas natural de producción nacional la demanda local, reemplazando fuentes importadas y más caras de ese fluido. A través del Decreto 892/2020 que aprueba el plan, el Gobierno nacional tiene como uno de sus objetivos “establecer un sistema transparente, abierto y competitivo para la formación del precio del gas natural” y deja a cargo de la Secretaría de Energía la reglamentación de la discusión y los mecanismos de participación ciudadana.
