Con la adquisición y puesta en funcionamiento de equipamiento para análisis por Biología Molecular se complementarán las técnicas por PCR en la actual pandemia.
El Gobierno de la provincia de La Pampa continúa desarrollando su política de descentralización y fortalecimiento de los hospitales provinciales impulsadas por el gobernador Sergio Ziliotto.
En esta oportunidad y con la idea de seguir consolidando el proyecto de robustecer los laboratorios hospitalarios a través de la compra de equipamiento de última generación. Los mismos permiten ampliar las técnicas de análisis de biología molecular para el diagnóstico de la COVID-19.
Se trata de equipos de última tecnología compuestos por cabinas de flujo laminar, microcentrífugas y termobloques que ya fueron entregados a los hospitales de las localidades de Realicó, Eduardo Castex, 25 de Mayo y al Hospital Evita de la ciudad de Santa Rosa. Se completará próximamente con la llegada de los mismos a los Hospitales de General Acha y Victorica.
Así y desde el inicio de la gestión, entre las principales estrategias de políticas públicas en salud el Gobierno de la provincia buscó descentralizar la asistencia de la comunidad dotando de mayor capacidad diagnóstica a todos los hospitales con condiciones de internación, proceso que sin dudas se aceleró con el inicio de la pandemia.
Para hacer efectivo este proyecto, primero se dotó de cinco termocicladores para análisis por PCR (Reacción en Cadena de Polimerasa). Estos fueron ubicados en los laboratorios de los hospitales Lucio Molas, Gobernador Centeno y en la Dirección de Epidemiología. Los mismos se encargaban del procesamiento de las muestras del material de toda la Provincia.
En la actualidad y con el objetivo de complementar la primera etapa se realiza una inversión que asciende a $ 15.779.000 en equipamiento e insumos, ampliando la capacidad diagnóstica de los cuatro nosocomios públicos mencionados (Realicó, Castex, 25 de Mayo y Evita).
De este modo se logra extender la técnica de análisis de biología molecular por amplificación Isotérmica denominada LAMP.
Eduardo Maroglio, jefe del Departamento de Bioquímica explicó a la Agencia Provincial de Noticias que la inversión en equipamiento de última generación “además de favorecer la descentralización en el procesamiento de las muestras que recibían los hospitales Lucio Molas y Gobernador Centeno, permitirá una técnica de análisis de biología molecular por amplificación Isotérmica denominada LAMP, que se destaca por su sensibilidad, especificidad, costo, simplicidad y rapidez en el procesamiento de las muestras.
La misma cuenta con un 94% de sensibilidad y 99% de especificidad. De esta forma la provincia de La Pampa se encuentra preparada para afrontar, de ser necesario, una posible tercera ola de contagios, permitiendo efectuar un diagnóstico rápido y preciso, estrategia fundamental para cortar las cadenas de contagios” precisó.
Asímismo recordó que “más allá del fortalecimiento de los laboratorios que analizan PCR Y LAMP (los cuales hoy se utilizan para detectar coronavirus, pero se pueden utilizar para analizar diferentes tipos de virus) no se debe olvidar que la provincia de La Pampa había incorporado para todo el territorio y con una fuerte inversión, los test de antígenos que son una herramienta rápida de diagnóstico empleada para favorecer las estrategias de detección oportuna, vigilancia y control de la COVID-19.
Con la llegada de este equipamiento isotérmico, se completa el proyecto trazado por el Gobierno provincial alcanzando de manera progresiva el fortalecimiento y capacidad resolutiva de los laboratorios en forma descentralizada.
Una significativa inversión para combatir la pandemia con una fuerte impronta que permite la proyección hacia el futuro de Salud Pública.
