El presidente Alberto Fernández encabezó este miércoles la reunión inaugural del Comité Censal de Operativo del Censo Nacional de Población, Hogares y Viviendas, que se llevará a cabo en 2022, y destacó esa medida como “central” para conocer las “fortalezas y debilidades” del país, situación que “la pandemia nos obligó a postergar”.
“Venimos de un tiempo donde el Estado fue poco cuidado y muy desatendido por los que gobernaban, que creyeron más que muchas cosas se resuelven fuera del Estado”, planteó el mandatario en referencia al gobierno de Mauricio Macri.
Desde el Museo del Bicentenario de la Casa Rosada, Fernández sostuvo que “el Censo es una suerte de fotografía que le tomamos a la Argentina cada diez años. Nos permite saber que políticas públicas tomar saber, dónde hay debilidades y dónde fortalezas”.
“Tenemos que saber bien qué es lo que queremos saber: cuánta gente no tiene casa, qué le pasa a nuestra población carcelaria, qué pasa con los chicos en la calle y la posibilidad de que los clubes sean centro de contención, cuántos argentinos pueden convertirse en soldados de la patria y cuántos se dedican a la agricultura familiar”, ejemplificó el mandatario y agregó: “A la hora de querer auxiliar o promover la actividad de las personas, necesitamos saber dónde están parados”.
El Presidente compartió el anuncio con el ministro de Economía, Martín Guzmán, y el director General del Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Censos (Indec), Marco Lavagna. También participaron el jefe de Gabinete, Santiago Cafiero, y los ministros de Ciencia, Roberto Salvarezza; de Cultura, Tristán Bauer; de Desarrollo Territorial y Hábitat, Jorge Ferraresi; de Educación, Nicolás Trotta; de Seguridad, Sabina Frederic; de Turismo y Deportes, Matías Lammens, y de Mujeres, Géneros y Diversidad, Elizabeth Gómez Alcorta, entre otros funcionarios. Los gobernadores Gustavo Bordet y Omar Gutiérrez, de Entre Ríos y Neuquén, respectivamente, también asistieron a la actividad.
El comité permitirá “articular con los organismos de Gobierno y coordinar las actividades precensales así como aquellas que se realicen cuando se lleve a cabo el censo”, según se informó en un comunicado.
