Nación confirmó que ofrecerán combinar las vacunas Sputnik V, AstraZeneca y Moderna

“Estamos en condiciones de empezar a combinar plataformas de vacunas de acuerdo a las investigaciones realizadas, empezando por un esquema que combine el primer componente de Sputnik V con una dosis de Moderna o AstraZeneca. Los estudios realizados en una investigación multicéntrica que se hizo en la Ciudad, la Provincia y otras tres jurisdicciones dieron cuenta de que la combinación es segura y eficaz en términos de inmunogenicidad -es decir, de generación de anticuerpos”. El anuncio lo hizo la ministra de Salud de la Nación, Carla Vizzotti, este miércoles en Casa Rosada.

Junto a Fernán Quirós y Nicolás Kreplak, Vizzotti explicó: “Siguiendo evidencia científica producida pen el Reino Unido, también será una posibilidad combinar AstraZeneca con Moderna para agilizar la aplicación de segundas dosis. Se van a ofrecer este tipo de combinaciones a quienes hayan iniciado su esquema de vacunación, y quien prefiera esperar, no habrá inconveniente: el compromiso es intentar que se agilice la entrega de esos componentes homólogos”. Según describió la funcionaria, el objetivo principal de esta estrategia es lograr que durante agosto completen su esquema de vacunación las personas de más de 50 años y quienes tengan factores de riesgo.
