Los resultados previos de la investigación de la combinación de las vacunas Sputnik V y AstraZeneca contra el coronavirus muestran un alto nivel de seguridad y la falta de reacciones adversas graves, afirmó este viernes el Fondo de Inversiones Directas de Rusia (FIDR).
“El análisis intermedio de los datos muestra altos indicadores de seguridad del uso combinado de los fármacos: no se observan fenómenos indeseables graves ni casos de infección con coronavirus tras la vacunación”, indicó en un comunicado el FIDR, que promociona y comercializa la vacuna rusa.
El estudio se llevó a cabo sobre un reducido grupo de 50 voluntarios en Azerbaiyán. Está previsto que las fases I y II de los ensayos clínicos de este “cóctel” se prolonguen hasta marzo de 2022.
Según el Centro Gamaleya, desarrollador de la Sputnik V, en una vacuna que utiliza distintos adenovirus humanos como vectores en sus dos componentes, el primero de ellos puede ser utilizado como un preparado monodosis, al que se le dio el nombre de Sputnik Light.
Los científicos rusos sostienen que el empleo de dos vectores distintos proporciona una inmunidad más prolongada que las vacunas de dos dosis que utilizan un mismo vector.
En estos momentos los estudios clínicos de la combinación se llevan a cabo también en Emiratos Árabes Unidos y Argentina.
Según el FIDR, los primeros resultados de las pruebas llevadas a cabo en Azerbaiyán serán publicados en agosto próximo.
