A un mes y medio de las PASO, la Justicia Electoral volvió a pedir la vacunación de las autoridades de mesa

La Cámara Electoral volvió a solicitar la vacunación contra el coronavirus para las autoridades de mesa y suplentes, así como también la provisión de barbijos, mamparas y demás elementos de protección personal.

El pedido llegó al ministro del Interior, Eduardo “Wado” de Pedro, a través de un oficio. 

“Es inevitable reiterar la necesidad de que se provean a los ciudadanos designados como autoridades de mesa la totalidad de los elementos de protección personal (barbijos, máscaras, mamparas, productos sanitizantes, etc.) que sean suficientes para protegerlos contra el COVID-I9 durante toda la jornada electoral; como así también -con anticipación suficiente- de la vacunación para todos aquellos designados que todavía no hubiesen sido inoculados con ninguna de las vacunas disponibles a tal efecto”, establece el punto central del oficio firmado por Santiago Corcuera, Daniel Bejas y Alberto Dalla Vía, publicado este miércoles por Infobae.

La misiva fue enviada a Interior luego de la respuesta negativa de la cartera de Salud, que dijo que “no resulta necesario introducir mecanismos ni estrategias adicionales para [su] vacunación”.

Los tres magistrados insistieron en la “ineludible necesidad de que se arbitren los medios para incorporar a las personas designadas por la justicia nacional electoral como autoridades de mesa en el cronograma de vacunación en curso”. 

“La confianza pública en la integridad de los procesos electorales reposa, en gran medida, en que todas las cuestiones esenciales de la jornada de votación están a cargo de ciudadanos y ciudadanas que son designados aleatoriamente entre el cuerpo electoral, de modo que esas personas representan la máxima autoridad de los comicios y la principal garantía de imparcialidad y neutralidad en su conducción, control y juzgamiento”, agregó.

La Cámara enfatizó que es “ineludible que desde los organismos que tienen a su cargo la organización del proceso electoral, se provean las garantías para que su desempeño –que constituye una carga pública irrenunciable- cuente con las medidas suficientes para la preservación de su salud durante el cumplimiento de esa función” y concluyeron con un pedido al ministro De Pedro: “Se le solicita que informe el procedimiento a seguir para arbitrar la inclusión de las autoridades de mesa en el cronograma de vacunación”.

Tanto la vacunación como la provisión de elementos de protección para las elecciones son reclamos que vienen desde principio de año.

Por su parte, la Cámara resolvió anticipar la designación de autoridades a 65 días antes de las primarias y reducir el rango etario a las personas entre 18 y 55 años. 

Las PASO de este año se celebrarán el próximo 12 de septiembre, y las generales dos meses después, el 14 de noviembre, tras la postergación sancionada en el Congreso.
