Hoy el Gobierno presentó la modificación en el documento nacional de identidad para incluir al género no binario en la nomenclatura que hasta ahora solo permitía calificar a las personas como masculinas o femeninas. En medio del acto, uno de los representantes de la comunidad LGTBIQ+ protagonizó un reclamo ante el presidente Alberto Fernández, el resto del los miembros del Gabinete y las cámaras. “No somos X”, afirmó Valentine, la segunda persona que recibió el nuevo DNI.
El episodio de protesta contra la nueva medida del Gobierno ocurrió cuando Valentine saludó a Fernández, a la ministra de las Mujeres, Géneros y Diversidad de la Nación, Elizabeth Gómez Alcorta, y a su par del Interior, Eduardo de Pedro, y tras ello se abrió la campera que llevaba para mostrar el cartel que se había pegado a la camisa, que reclamaba: “No somos X”. Al mismo tiempo, entre el público que se había acercado a Casa Rosada, otra persona levantó un cartel y comenzó a vociferar: “No somos una X, el sentimiento interno no es una X y lo quiero dejar bien claro”.
Si bien al tiempo que ocurrió la protestas la conductora del evento oficial siguió hablando y poco se pudo escuchar el reclamo, la agenda del acto continuó su curso, se entregó el documento a la tercera persona elegida para la ocasión y los funcionarios presentes, luego el Presidente tomó la palabra e hizo alusión a lo ocurrido.
“Escuchaba la queja de alguien que decía que hay otras formas y claro que las hay, seguro, están incluidas dentro de esa X que es una convención internacional que nos permite abrir derechos dentro de los límites. Es un avance, no deberíamos renegar de esto”, dijo Fernández.
Asimismo destacó que el verdadero logro llegará cuando no importe tanto identificar los géneros. “Es eso lo que realmente tenemos que conseguir, lograr eso. ¿Qué le importa al Estado saber la orientación sexual de sus ciudadanos? No es lo que necesita saber. Necesita saber que si son chicos, estudien; que cumplan con plan de vacunación; que si trabajan, digan dónde trabajan; que tengan CUIL, CUIT, que paguen sus impuestos. La orientación sexual qué le importa al Estado”.
En otro de los momentos de su discurso, el Presidente además aseguró que “hay mil modos de amar, ser amado y ser felices” y celebró que “cada uno encuentre la felicidad a su modo”, al tiempo que destacó la necesidad de “hacer todo lo que se pueda para seguir avanzando” en la incorporación de derechos en la Argentina.
“Avancemos todo lo que podamos ahora que estamos nosotros”, dijo el mandatario en alusión a conversaciones que mantiene con la ministra Gómez Alcorta al anunciar hoy la puesta en marcha del DNI para personas no binarias con el objetivo de garantizar el derecho a la identidad de género de las personas que no se autoperciben ni como femeninas ni como masculinas.
