Esta mañana llegaron a la Argentina 2.1 millones de dosis de la vacuna de AstraZeneca. El vuelo AC 7326/30 de Air Canada aterrizó minutos antes de las 7 de la mañana en el aeropuerto internacional de Ezeiza.
Con este cargamento, nuestro país superó las 17 millones de dosis recibidas desde el inicio de la pandemia y entra en un mes clave en la lucha contra la pandemia de coronavirus. Es que con la llegada de este lote, y a la espera de más dosis –se prevé la llegada de otras 3,5 millones de dosis de la misma vacuna a partir de la segunda quincena del mes, además del arribo de otras dosis Sputnik V-, el Gobierno entra en un mes que será clave en el proceso de inoculación.
A pocos días del invierno, y con poco margen para aplicar más restricciones, el Poder Ejecutivo apuesta a acelerar el plan de vacunación y llegar al invierno con la mayor cantidad de personas de riesgo vacunadas, y, así, descomprimir un sistema sanitario fuertemente tensionado.
De acuerdo a los datos oficiales del Ministerio de Salud de la Nación, hasta la fecha (31/5), 12.257.297 vacunas han sido aplicadas en nuestro país.
Situación epidemiológica
En las últimas 24 horas, el Ministerio de Salud de la Nación notificó 21.346 contagios y 348 muertes por Covid-19. Sin embargo, el dato que más preocupa es la ocupación de camas UTI, que ayer superó la barrera de las 7.200 personas.
De acuerdo al reporte, 7.206 pacientes con Covid-19 se encuentran internados en unidades de terapia intensiva. En esa línea, la ocupación (por todas las patologías) asciende al 77,5% en todo el país, mientras que en el AMBA es del 77,2%.
