Un joven de 23 años asesinó a puñaladas a su madre y hermana, de sólo nuevo años. El hecho ocurrió en la calle Triunvirato al 800, en Mar del Plata.
Allí llegaron, primero, los bomberos, convocados por las llamas que consumían el domicilio allí ubicado. El incendio fue controlado sin mayores dificultades, pero la escena con la que se toparon tras extinguir el fuego era terrorífica. No por los daños materiales, sino porque allí, donde ellos habían estado trabajando, estaban los cuerpos de Laura Sánchez, de 45 años, y su hija, Zoe, de nueve.
No eran víctimas del fuego, ni de los efectos nocivos del humo, sino de un asesino que las había apuñalado brutalmente.
Horas después, llegó a una comisaría un joven, posteriormente identificado como Matías Paz, afirmando que su madre y su hermana había sido asesinadas en medio de un robo. Tal vez su discurso habría convencido a las autoridades, pero las manchas de sangre en su ropa levantaron las primeras sospechas.
Acorralado por las preguntas de los oficiales, Paz se quebró y fue arrestado.
Para Leandro Arévalo, fiscal a cargo de la investigación, el incendio “habría sido originado intencionalmente para borrar huellas y evidencias”, aunque el fuego “no llegó a cobrar fuerza como para llevarse los rastros”.
El funcionario judicial espera los informes forenses que determinarán si las heridas de arma blanca que presentan las víctimas son compatibles con el cuchillo que se secuestró a pocos metros de ambos cuerpos, así como también verificar si los rastros de sangre levantados en la escena coinciden con las manchas que el acusado tenía en su vestimenta.
Tras la detención del principal sospechoso, fuentes policiales, citadas por el portal 0223, confirmaron que Paz tenía antecedentes de “portación ilegal de arma de uso civil” y “encubrimiento”, además de denuncias previas por violencia familiar, aunque no en contra de las víctimas de este hecho.
