Los efectos de la crisis provocada por la pandemia del covid-19 golpea de lleno en la imagen de los gobernadores y las gobernadoras de la Patagonia en pleno año electoral. Según la última encuesta de CB Consutores, solo una de las máximas autoridades provinciales tiene una valoración positiva más alta que la negativa. Se trata de Sergio Ziliotto. El resto de sus colegas de la región mantiene una imagen que va de regular a mala. El más reprobado por la opinión pública es el chubutense Mariano Arcioni con el 63%.
El estudio, que se realizó entre 11 y 13 de mayo, midió la imagen de los gobernadores y las gobernadoras de todo el país, y también al jefe de la ciudad de Buenos Aires, Horacio Rodríguez Larreta. El análisis de los datos demostró que el sur fue una de las zonas donde más se sintió el impacto de la crisis sanitaria y económica.En el ránking de los gobernadores con mejor imagen, Arcioni finalizó último con apenas el 34,1%, en tanto que registró un 62,9% de valoración negativa. Desde que comenzó la pandemia, el chubutense se ubica entre los más reprobados. El sucesor de Mario Das Neves heredó un gobierno envuelto en una profunda crisis social. Fue reelecto gracias a un acuerdo con intendentes de las ciudades más importantes, pero no pudo solucionar el problema estructural de la provincia y la situación económica fue determinante para que sea caratulado como el peor de todo el país.
Como si fuera poco, dos patagónicos se le acercan. Arabela Carreras, de Río Negro, es otra de las mandatarias que no puede salir de ese grupo que no seduce al electorado. Si bien elevó lo positivo al 43%, la imagen negativa llega al 53%. Algunas medidas en pandemia justifican este número, como el aumento de ingresos brutos que debió congelar cuando diversos grupos de usuarios se manifestaron en los principales centros urbanos o las organizaciones de hospitalarios que salieron a la calle, al igual que docentes.
El caso de Omar Gutiérrez en Neuquén es paradigmático. Su gobierno debió enfrentar más de 20 días de numerosos cortes de ruta organizados por los autoconvocados de la salud pública, que pusieron en jaque la producción de hidrocarburos en Vaca Muerta. Además, gobierna una de las provincias que tiene colapsado sus sistema sanitario en plena segunda ola de covid. Del 58% de imagen positiva en abril descendió al 44%. Y la negativa se estancó en 51%.
Alicia Kirchner, de Santa Cruz, no abandona la lógica regional, aunque con valores más equilibrados. La imagen negativa alcanza el 49% y la positiva llega casi al 48%. Gustavo Melella, de Tierra del Fuego, vive una situación parecida: algo más de 48% de imagen positiva, pero casi el 49% de valoración negativa.
El único de la región que rompe la lógica es Sergio Ziliotto, de La Pampa. Casi el 65% de imagen positiva demuestran que el manejo de la pandemia, pese a la suba de los casos, fue exitoso. Algo más del 31% es la visión negativa de la gestión que comenzó en 2019, cuando se hizo cargo del gobierno después de Carlos Verna.
