Confinamiento: Se suspende el fútbol profesional

Luego de las nuevas restricciones impuestas por el Presidente de la Nación Alberto Fernández surgió un interrogante y es el de qué pasará con el fútbol. Si bien en principio todo parecía indicar que el fútbol no se suspendería, lo cierto es que de la noche a la mañana la situación cambió y la decisión final es la de postergar la competición mientras duren las restricciones a nivel nacional.

Después de lo que fue la cadena nacional de Alberto Fernández durante la noche del jueves, se especulaba con una reunión entre el Gobierno Nacional y la AFA durante la tarde del viernes, para diagramar los pasos a seguir y ver de qué manera se podía continuar con el fútbol. Sin embargo, tanto Boca como Independiente fueron informados de que sus encuentros por las semifinales ante Colón y Racing serían postergados.

Minutos antes de esa confirmación, el Jefe de Gabinete Santiago Cafiero parecía dejar la puerta abierta para que se lleven a cabo las semifinales en San Juan, en declaraciones a Radio La Red: “Siempre se trabajó de modo muy responsable con la AFA y el modo de hacerlo fue que, si se los convoca a una reunión, no se anticipa lo que se va a decir en la reunión. Quedan por delante dos partidos, ambos en la Provincia de San Juan, uno el día sábado y otro el domingo. Venimos conversando para encontrar, de modo consensuado, una solución“.

Pese a esa postura que parecía indicar que se llegaría a buen puerto, finalmente no fue así y ahora se aguardan por más precisiones respecto de cuándo y cómo se retomará la actividad. Mientras tanto, ni siquiera habrán entrenamientos en los clubes.

LA LIBERTADORES Y SUDAMERICANA, LOS OTROS INTERROGANTES

Si bien el torneo local será postergado, los torneos continentales siguen en pie. Así, resta saber si los clubes que están afectados a las Copas Libertadores y Sudamericana recibirán un permiso especial para entrenar si es que Conmebol decide mantener el calendario correspondiente a los certámenes.
