La ministra de Salud, Carla Vizzotti, brindó una conferencia de prensa luego de la reunión que funcionarios gubernamentales tuvieron con empresarios para garantizar el abastecimiento de oxígeno ante el aumento de la demanda por la segunda ola de coronavirus.
Acompañada por Matías Kulfas y empresarios del sector, Vizzotti pintó un panorama complejo para las próximas semanas ya que “los ingresos a terapia intensiva van a seguir aumentando”.
“El sistema de salud sigue con una demanda de respiradores y UTIs, y necesita usar shock room y terapia intensiva para dar abasto a la demanda”, aseveró la titular de la cartera sanitaria.
La funcionaria nacional explicó que la demanda del oxígeno medicinal aumentó entre dos y tres veces con respecto al año pasado.
“Cada acción de prevención es un granito de arena fundamental para disminuir la transmisión, la necesidad de anestésicos y de oxígeno. En este momento es más importante que nunca”, consideró.
