El presidente de Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, anunció que su país halló un antiviral que “neutraliza al 100%” el coronavirus, informó la prensa internacional.
“Puedo presentar la medicina que neutraliza al 100% el coronavirus: el Carvativir”, dijo Maduro en un mensaje emitido por la televisora estatal VTV.
El mandatario calificó el medicamento como “goticas milagrosas” con las que en los últimos nueve meses se hicieron “experimentos masivos” con enfermos de coronavirus, con “buenos resultados”.
“Este antiviral ha sido utilizado como parte de los tratamientos aplicados en Venezuela a pacientes afectados con Covid-19, dando buenos resultados; el Carvativir es un poderoso antiviral de Venezuela, aquí pensamos en la humanidad”, sostuvo.
Maduro aseguró que esta semana tendrá “una reunión con los líderes de salud del país para establecer el sistema de distribución directa por miles a los centros de salud del país”.
Subrayó que el Carvativir “se incorporará al kit de medicinas contra el coronavirus” que están usándose en Venezuela.
El 25 de octubre pasado, Maduro informó que un organismo de investigación científica de su gobierno había encontrado una molécula que elimina completamente el coronavirus.
“Venezuela ha conseguido una medicina que anula al 100% el coronavirus, una vez demostrados los estudios por seis meses de nuestro Instituto Venezolano de Investigaciones Científicas (ICIV)”, dijo entonces el mandatario.
Aquel día, la ministra de Ciencia y Tecnología, Gabriela Jiménez, explicó que el ICIV había iniciado seis meses atrás el estudio de la actividad biológica de células afectadas por Covid-19 y sometidas a diferentes concentraciones del principio activo identificado.
“Es un derivado de ácido ursólico y esta molécula presenta 100% de inhibición de la replicación del virus in vitro”, dijo la funcionaria.
Jiménez agregó que “después fue evaluado en personas sanas sin mostrar toxicidad en las dosis en las que fue enfrentada en presencia del virus”.
Maduro y Jiménez subrayaron entonces que esperaban que la Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS) ratificara los resultados obtenidos por el IVIC, de modo de poder encarar, mediante alianzas internacionales, la producción masiva de esa molécula.
Venezuela acumulaba desde el comienzo de la pandemia 123.709 casos confirmados de coronavirus y 1.148 muertes por la enfermedad, informó hoy la vicepresidenta, Delcy Rodríguez.
