Este jueves, el Departamento de Epidemiología de Bahía Blanca dio a conocer que dos ciudadanos filipinos que se encontraban en la ciudad desde hacía una semana dieron positivo de la variante Delta de COVID-19.
De acuerdo a lo informado, ambos llegaron al país junto a otras siete personas el pasado 19 de agosto y uno de ellos dio positivo en el test que se realizó al llegar al Aeropuerto de Ezeiza, sin embargo, el segundo continuó su viaje con total normalidad sin informar en su declaración jurada que eran contacto estrecho de un caso confirmado.
Según lo informado por la Región Sanitaria I a Télam, pasaron doce horas desde que el grupo llegó a Ezeiza hasta que fue aislado en un hotel de Bahía Blanca. En el interín, tomaron distintos taxis (a cuyos conductores se les está realizando un seguimiento) y abordaron un vuelo de línea desde el aeroparque Jorge Newbery hasta la ciudad.
Desde la Municipalidad lo informaron así: “El Departamento de Epidemiología confirmó que esta mañana se recibe la información de que una persona de nacionalidad Filipina, que llegó a Buenos Aires desde México y luego se trasladó a nuestra ciudad vía aérea para realizar tareas en el Puerto de Ingeniero White, cuyo resultado de la PCR había sido positivo en el día de ayer, presenta resultado de secuenciación positiva para la Delta”.
Sobre el estado de los pacientes agregaron que uno de ellos “se encuentra estable desde el punto de vista clínico, según el informe del médico interviniente”, mientras que del otro falta conocer el resultado.
