Desde el año pasado se habla de la posibilidad de combinar inoculantes contra el COVID-19 desarrolladas por distintos laboratorios para acelerar la compleción de los esquemas de vacunación.
En este sentido, desde Rusia se dio luz verde para comenzar ensayos y estudiar cuáles son los resultados tras la combinación de la Sputnik V, desarrollada por el Instituto Gamaleya, y el inmunizante de AstraZeneca.
La noticia fue dada a conocer por el Fondo de Inversión Directa de Rusia (RDIF, por sus siglas en inglés) a través de un comunicado difundido por Telegram, donde también se especificó que estos ensayos están siendo realizados en cinco clínicas rusas y que finalizarán en marzo de 2022.
Difundiendo la noticia, desde las redes sociales de la vacuna rusa dieron algunos detalles acerca de su insistencia por dar pie a estudios que den cuenta de cuán efectiva es la combinación de vacunas de diversos laboratorios.
“El RDIF ofreció a AstraZeneca ensayos conjuntos del primer componente de Sputnik V o la vacuna Sputnik Light y AZ el 23 de noviembre de 2020, lo que convirtió a la Sputnik V en el primer productor de vacunas en ofrecer un ensayo de cóctel de vacunas a otros fabricantes. Estos ensayos están en curso en los Emiratos Árabes Unidos, Azerbaiyán y Argentina desde febrero de 2021”, explicaron.
