La Dirección General de Recursos Naturales y la Facultad de Agronomía analizarán la actividad forestal y de producción de carbón en la Provincia

Se llevarán a cabo dos investigaciones para analizar la producción de carbón en La Pampa así como también la actividad forestal dentro del territorio provincial.

  El Ministerio de la Producción a través de la Dirección General de Recursos Naturales y la Facultad de Agronomía, firmaron dos convenios con el objetivo de analizar la producción de carbón en La Pampa así como también la actividad forestal dentro del territorio provincial. 


El director del área, Carlos Bonnemezón y la decana de la casa de estudios, Ana Urioste fueron quienes rubricaron dichos acuerdos que permitirán brindar un aporte económico para la realización de dos investigaciones: “Ordenamiento y análisis de información sobre actividad forestal de La Pampa para la toma de decisiones” y “Análisis de potencial productivo de la fabricación de carbón vegetal en la provincia de La Pampa”. En este sentido la decana de la Facultad de Agronomía, destacó ante la Agencia Provincial de Noticias “la sinergia lograda entre ambas instituciones, y la importancia de poder acompañar al desarrollo provincial a través del aporte de conocimientos desde un abordaje científico”.


Por su parte, el titular de la Dirección de Recursos Naturales manifestó respecto al estudio de la producción de carbón en la Provincia que, “la vinculación con la Facultad se hizo sobre todo con el objetivo de poder ampliar la información que ya cuenta el organismo, particularmente en cuanto a los aspectos económicos de la producción, el nivel de formalidad de la actividad y cuáles son los mercados que están demandando este tipo de carbón específico, que se desprende de la madera del caldén”.
El funcionario agregó que “en cuanto a la producción de carbón tiene varias ventajas porque admite todo tipo de maderas, sea verde o seca, lo cual es  importante porque no hay requerimiento especifico para producirlo. Por lo tanto, lo vemos como muy interesante desde el punto de vista productivo”.


Mencionó dos puntos de la Provincia, Conhello y Rancul, donde se lleva a cabo la producción de carbón, “que tiene una demanda estacional y funciona de acuerdo a las necesidades que requiere una siderúrgica que es la que consume y que se encuentra en Mendoza”.

Actividad forestal
Respecto al estudio sobre la actividad forestal dentro de la Provincia, ya sea mecánica o manual “el fin es recopilar la información disponible, analizarla y en función de ello ajustar la toma de decisiones que se quiere llevar adelante”, indicó Bonnemezón. Y sostuvo “sabemos que existe informalidad en el trabajo, con lo cual uno de los objetivos es trabajar para lograr la formalización de la actividad”.


El titular del área de Recursos Naturales expresó que toda esta información “es de suma importancia, ya que redundará en una adecuada toma de decisiones que apunte a mejorar el sistema forestal en la Provincia”.
