El presidente de la UCR consideró a Berhongaray líder de la oposición pampeana

Julio Pechín, quien se desempeña como presidente de la Unión Cívica Radical de La Pampa, en comunicación con Revista BIFE, reflexionó sobre el presente de su partido y opinó que el actual diputado nacional por Juntos por el Cambio, Martín Berhongaray, sería una buena opción como futuro líder de la oposición en la provincia.

“Hay dos posturas dentro del partido con respecto a futuros liderazgos de la oposición”, dijo Pechín. “Algunos hablan de caras nuevas. En mi caso veo que hay caras viejas nuevas, como Martín Berhongaray, que fue tres períodos legislador provincial y ahora es legislador nacional. Es un chico de 41 años con un valor muy importante“, destacó el dirigente correligionario, quien advirtió: “Nosotros ya estamos trabajando para las próximas elecciones. Me refiero a las del 2023. Queremos ganar las provincia en 2023″.

Martín Berhongaray fue entrevistado por este medio hace dos días. Entre otras cosas, dijo que los liderazgos no se autoproclaman. También, formuló una fuerte autocrítica a su partido en lo que respecta a la alianza electoral que se hizo con el PRO. “Lo fácil es responsabilizar a otros de las debilidades propias”, había dicho.

En este mismo sentido se expresó Pechín. “Resulta fácil echarle toda la culpa al PRO de lo que pasó. Sin dudas hay una cuota de responsabilidad de nuestro partido”, dijo a BIFE.

Sin embargo, aclaró: “Acá quiero hacer una salvedad a nivel provincial. Antes de asumir la Convención, desde el 2017, expuse mis diferencias con el PRO, donde dije que no era sustentable la política económica, porque los bancos la estuvieron juntando en pala. Creo que a nivel nacional se hicieron los mismos planteos. El tema fue el presidente que no escuchó. En los 4 años de Macri el PBI cayó un 5%, con lo cual la deuda en términos de PBI aumentó un 41%. Esta es la realidad en términos económicos”.

“En terminos políticos -siguió Pechín- desde La Pampa siempre planteamos que no debería haber sido Macri el presidente, pero lamentablemente no pudimos hablar en la Convención y ganó la otra postura. Yo dije que el radicalismo tenía que ir con un candidato propio”.

-Por qué no tomaron entonces una decisión drástica?

Primero somos todos orgánicos. Aceptamos el fallo de la mayoría. Y segundo el radicalismo es un partido ncional.

-¿Qué perfil debería tener el radicalismo en esta nueva etapa?

Hoy la alianza está terminada. ¿Qué debería hacer el radicalismo? Primero ir como una fuerza propia. Yo nunca voy a aceptar ir de vuelta a una alianza electoral. Yo quiero una alianza de gobierno. Debemos tener coincidencias ideológicas con los propios.

-¿Esto se está debatiendo en el seno del partido?

Sí, se está debatiendo. A nosotros nos parece que lo que ha hecho el PJ en 36 años de gobierno es generar una cantidad de empleo público que hace imposible la actividad privada. No hablamos de echar a nadie del Estado sino congelar el ingreso. Porque si uno analiza el presupuesto, el 52% se va a sueldos, el 40% a gastos corrientes, se nos va el 92%, y nos queda sólo de inversión un 8%. Si analizamos el presupuesto del año 95 ese saldo de inversión era del 30%.

-¿Qué responsabilidad tiene la oposición en no haber podido gobernar hasta ahora?

Tenemos una cuota de responsabilidad como dije anteriormente. Cada vez nos resulta más difícil. Pero estamos trabajando en ello.
