Murió de coronavirus Agustina Fontenla, ex participante de Bake Off

La noticia impactó a todos sus seguidores. Agustina Fontenla, de tan solo 31 años y reconocida por su paso en Bake Off Argentina, murió en las últimas horas tras complicarse su cuadro de coronavirus. La joven había tenido que ser trasladada desde San Antonio Oeste (el pueblo de Río Negro en el que residía) hacia clínica de Viedma.

La pastelera había sido intubada el miércoles y falleció en la madrugada de este jueves. La familia emitió un comunicado que se difundió esta mañana a través de la empresa encargada del sepelio: “Agustina Soledad Fontenla falleció en Viedma a los 31 años. Si familia participa del fallecimiento y comunica que sus restos serán trasladados a Parque de Paz para su cremación”.

Agustina Fontenla fue una de las participantes más queridas de Bake Off. El certamen de cocina que sorprendió a todos con sus altos niveles de audiencia tuvo mucha repercusión en las redes sociales, pero pocos con una llegada tan amplia como la de la abogada rionegrina. 

Llegó a las semifinales junto a Samanta Casais, Agustina Guz y Damián Pier Basile, quien terminó siendo el ganador del certamen. Durante su paso por el reality de Telefe recibió elogios por el jurado integrado por Christophe Krywonis, Damián Betular y Pamela Villar debido a su dedicación y a la evolución que fue experimentando en la pastelería semana a semana. Por otro lado, su historia de vida también resultó una de las más atrapantes para el público.

Abogada de profesión (se había recibido en 2015 en la Universidad Nacional del Sur de Bahía Blanca), la joven había encontrado su verdadera vocación en la pastelería. “Mucha gente cuando me ve piensa que soy una abogada que cuando está aburrida hace pastelería, que es un hobby. La verdad que no. Los últimos finales de la carrera me la pasé llorando porque yo quería cocinar”, había dicho la participante en las instancias finales del certamen, lo que sorprendió tanto al jurado como a la conductora del ciclo, Paula Chaves.

“Entendía todo el esfuerzo de mi familia para mandarme a estudiar y no era tiempo de cambiar. Todo el mundo me decía que cuando empiece a trabajar, se me iba a pasar. Nunca se me pasó”, expresó después, sabiendo que lo suyo estaba en la cocina y, específicamente en la pastelería.

Luego de su paso por el certamen de pastelería más famoso del mundo, Agustina Fontenla lanzó su propio emprendimiento: “Arte y azúcar”, dedicado a la producción y decoración de tortas, cupcakes, entre otras delicias dulces. “Acá me permito volar, crear, hacer todo lo que se me ocurra. Y el sabor del trabajo terminado es incomparable con cualquier otro, igual que la satisfacción de ver la cara de la gente cuando recibe sus pedidos”, detalló por aquel entonces la joven en su cuenta de Facebook sobre las razones que la llevaron a seguir dedicándose a la pastelería.
