Según las autoridades sanitarias, en Argentina ya se registraron 46 personas contagiadas con la variante Delta. De ese número, 45 pertenecen a personas con antecedente de viaje internacional y uno se contagio por contacto estrecho con un pasajero.
El Ministerio de Salud de la Nación informó que el laboratorio nacional de referencia ANLIS Malbrán aisló otros 17 nuevos casos de variante Delta relacionados con viajeros. Las muestras corresponden a residentes de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires, Santa Fe, la provincia de Buenos Aires, Tucumán y Salta.
Sobre las personas con antecedente de viaje, la cartera sanitaria nacional indicó que el 36% fueron detectados en el dispositivo de testeo al ingreso al país, en 16 casos, y el 64%, que corresponde a 29 casos, fueron positivos durante su aislamiento o por haber tenido resultados positivos en ocasión de realizar el test de PCR al séptimo día de aislamiento.
Los viajeros que resultaron positivos para la variante Delta provenían de Estados Unidos, España, Holanda, México, Montenegro, Panamá, Francia, Dinamarca y Venezuela.
